The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary 317

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre on day 27 of our latest lock down. This morning the neighbourhood is cold with the winter freeze but soon we will experience the death of winter and the birth of spring, but also this morning in Ballinwillin we mourn the death and passing of Joe Mulcahy our neighbour, a legend in the music business and a founding member of the famous Maurice Mulcahy Band. A band that gave huge enjoyment to thousands of people worldwide. This morning our prayers are with his family, friends and neighbours. Now destiny calls Joe to a place of music where his trumpet will sound again for all our spiritual enjoyment, where his heart will always remain generous, all heavenly doors will open to his musical light as you now quietly befriend your death and you have no need to fear. You are among your own orchestra in the big band with your pure white suit you are now equal to your destiny and nearer to Earths heart. Rest in peace Joe. Continue to pray, bless and power healing to all who need it and wear your smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1386

Within all of us in the sanctuary of our hearts we must make room for the transforming power of love to go within us and radiate through us. Each one of us is an artist of our own day. The greater our awareness and integrity the more original, creative, happy and loving all our lives will become.

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is 5:00 a.m. here at Carraig an Daimh and I am up for ice for my knee, a cup of green tea and my painkillers. I'm feeling very happy and looking forward to a wonderful, happy and peaceful 2024. My prayers this morning after my family, my friends and my work colleagues, no real difference to any other morning, only for the fact I feel it's going to be a great and special year for all of us. These early and dark mornings with their stillness in silence calls me to get in touch with my inner self to be patient with myself and others, to appreciate my inner strength and to embrace the seeds of beauty and the beauty that lies within all people. I give thanks for the gift of this New Year day. Within all of us in the sanctuary of our hearts we must make room for the transforming power of love to go within us and radiate through us. Each one of us is an artist of our own day. The greater our awareness and integrity the more original, creative, happy and loving all our lives will become. My prayers for all the lives I touch are happiness, peace and good health for 2024. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your New year's Day very, very best smile.

We bless the year for all we have learned, loved and lost and for the quiet way it has brought us nearer to God and our Holy and invisible yet near destination.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Well, it is the final day of the year 2023 and it was not a bad one actually. All family are in good health, friends and team members all in good health also and we look forward to a happy, healthy and Holy 2024 for all. As we look forward to the coming year I can't help feeling a little melancholy. Our baby Elayne left at 2:00 a.m. for Abu Dhabi after a beautiful Christmas without John, Laura, JJ and Ada who are in Melbourne and we missed them all so much. Sheena is in Cork and will look after us now. We give thanks for the gifts 2023 brought us. We bless the year for all we have learned, loved and lost and for the quiet way it has brought us nearer to God and our Holy and invisible yet near destination. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Sunday last day of the year smile.

There were many chats over a coffee or a cup of tea where we always journeyed back to lovely Leitrim to that place where her soul was filled with love and warmth from her childhood. She always brought great passion, belonging and kindness to our home. My prayers and wish for Condy as we called her is she will always live in the embrace of her true self.

Good afternoon everyone and welcome. I am really looking forward to this afternoon and going to a 90th birthday party for a very dear friend Mrs Condon. For over 30 years this great woman from Leitrim looked after us and minded us like we were her children and we are all delighted to celebrate this great occasion. Every person is tasked to make their lives worthy of the contemplation of their most important and innovative times in their lives to be fresh, fragrant and welcoming just like this camellia here today. As this breath of fragrance from this beautiful camelia awakens colour and vibrancy may this day anoint all our eyes with wonder.

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is nice and sunny here today after two days of storms and the sun is shining down and one of our camelias is already blossoming with beautiful white rose petal like flowers. White camellias symbolise adoration and care and in West Limerick they were called the "priests helper". My garden brings me great joy but it requires much work just like our own life. It is to be beautiful and worthwhile. The rich circle of life goes on. It was there before us, it is here now and it will continue after us. We live in the now or at least we should and now will soon be the past and then the future now and on and on. All we have is that very, very brief now. Life unfolds since our birth. Don't let it be in the rear view mirror of our minds.

Good afternoon everyone. Yesterday we travelled to Roscommon to the funeral of a sister to a very close and dear friend of ours. As I was sitting in the church and listening to the eulogy I was thinking, isn't it an extraordinary situation that we can either imagine life ending or imagine it not ending. The dream of everyday life is to realise itself. "Patrick continue to dream and you will continue to enjoy life." Dreams are very important for all of us and our lives. They go through us like wine through water and they alter the colour of our minds. They awaken memories and draw forth possibilities we cannot even begin to imagine.

Good morning everyone and welcome. I had a great day yesterday, a lot of exercise and walking and then I got a call from an old friend and we had a great chat about all issues of life that we had experienced and worked through. When he was finishing the call he said "Patrick continue to dream and you will continue to enjoy life." Dreams are very important for all of us and our lives. They go through us like wine through water and they alter the colour of our minds. They awaken memories and draw forth possibilities we cannot even begin to imagine. When I am out walking I have a lot of time to think and gather moments and memories secretly and in peace. I am enjoying the contemplative quiet and patience and looking forward to the fields of brightness that lay ahead

Good morning everyone and welcome. The Mindful Farmer is very busy with exercise and walking and on day 19 with my new knee all going well but painful at night. When I am out walking I have a lot of time to think and gather moments and memories secretly and in peace. I am enjoying the contemplative quiet and patience and looking forward to the fields of brightness that lay ahead and we give thanks that through the mind of each day with holiness, wisdom heart and soul become one. Home is where we discover who we are, where we are coming from and where we are going to. It is where we are helped to establish our own identity. Home is where we learned to love and be loved. This is where our minds, body and spirit are first met and on this very special day home is the definition of our God.

Good morning and happy Christmas to all of you out there. Many people make a special effort to be at home for Christmas. In our case John, Laura and the two babies, Ada and JJ, are in Melbourne but Sheena and Elayne are with us and that is very special. Home is where everyone wants it to be at this time of year. Home is where we discover who we are, where we are coming from and where we are going to. It is where we are helped to establish our own identity. Home is where we learned to love and be loved. This is where our minds, body and spirit are first met and on this very special day home is the definition of our God. The eyes of Jesus are gazing down on us tonight stirring the hearts clay that we may sleep in peace always. May we never be left in the dark. A little loneliness descends on me for a while before I realise they are all walking beside me and guiding me in every way. It is now I feel the sweet scent of nature from their breath. The beauty of this world, farm and gardens has immense healing powers and remembering all the beautiful people and times past continues that healing.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Well, it is Christmas Eve and we are all set for the big day. It is a time of year since childhood I always walk the fields, take in nature, think about the past year, think about all the great people who have passed onto heaven in the past year and in the past times. A little loneliness descends on me for a while before I realise they are all walking beside me and guiding me in every way. It is now I feel the sweet scent of nature from their breath. The beauty of this world, farm and gardens has immense healing powers and remembering all the beautiful people and times past continues that healing. These memories grow stronger for me as Christmas Day approaches. Fair and faithful friends can never grow old for as you were when first your eyes I eyed, such seems your beauty still. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Christmas Eve smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1377

When the soul wishes to experience something she throws an image of the experience out before her and enters into her own image. Food for thought on this peaceful day of advent.

This is day 16 with my new knee. Good morning everyone and welcome once again to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. All is very quiet here today and will be until the second week of January. I believe this season of advent challenges us with regard to our priorities, our intentions and our behavior. It is time to ponder and pause. When people really examine their lives here and years past, we all want to change and for the better. We must also realise it will take hard work, hard choices and hard decisions. Real change only comes from deep and serious examinations of our values and past experiences and friendship down within. When the soul wishes to experience something she throws an image of the experience out before her and enters into her own image. Food for thought on this peaceful day of advent. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Saturday smile.

We don't take enough time to become absolutely conscious of our powers and abilities and if we look and listen deeply and notice what it is we are listening to, seeing and feel deeply in our hearts everything would be different and it could transform our lives. Grand Uncle Jack would say "one eye sees and the other one feels".

Good morning everyone and welcome. Today is day 15 with my new knee and it is very sore due to the stitches being removed and the pain is severe. When I visit the hospital and see people with missing limbs and severe incapacities I then have a chat with myself and thank God my situation is very minor in comparison to others and I am really thankful. We don't take enough time to become absolutely conscious of our powers and abilities and if we look and listen deeply and notice what it is we are listening to, seeing and feel deeply in our hearts everything would be different and it could transform our lives. it is time to remind ourselves that we should awake each day with gratitude and love and fall asleep at night connected to nature and full of trust and peace. The perfect practice to lead to a happy and fulfilled life believing the human heart is a huge treasure house that we can draw on every day of our life.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. It is winter solstice time again. The shortest day and longest night. So from now on our days will be brighter and so too our brain and minds will respond. From now on we will see the snowdrops, the daffodils and bluebells all bursting through the earth signifying the power of nature and then we see the mighty oak overlooking all beneath. When I think about all this wonder and magic it is time to remind ourselves that we should awake each day with gratitude and love and fall asleep at night connected to nature and full of trust and peace. The perfect practice to lead to a happy and fulfilled life believing the human heart is a huge treasure house that we can draw on every day of our life. All we can do is to take refuge in patience, in generosity, love and understanding in our life and in our families and friends cloaked in the shelter of unconditional love and understanding. We can only hope and pray that through their greed and blindness at some level that there is a better way, another way. That is my prayer for this day

Good morning everyone and welcome to day 13 with my new knee. We all need patience to deal with people who we call "angular individuals". People that are full of awkward corners, people that are never pleased with anything, no matter what they have in this life. These people really believe that their behaviour is the only proper response to our world. They also expect others to behave similarly to justify their approach in life and throughout their life. All we can do is to take refuge in patience, in generosity, love and understanding in our life and in our families and friends cloaked in the shelter of unconditional love and understanding. We can on;y hope and pray that through their greed and blindness at some level that there is a better way, another way. That is my prayer for this day as I leave to have my stitches removed and have a look at my wound. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Wednesday smile.

We must deal with problems every day and learn to be grateful for them, now there's a challenge. When you are accepting of a problem now that it has arrived it loses its power to drag you down and, on the contrary, your attitude will lift you up into heavenly and happy places with God.

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is day 12 with my new knee and all going well, thank God. A little more pain than yesterday but also more exercise. I am pushing boundaries but overall very happy with my new knee problem as people refer to, especially Elayne Bears. We must deal with problems every day and learn to be grateful for them, now there's a challenge. When you are accepting of a problem now that it has arrived it loses its power to drag you down and, on the contrary, your attitude will lift you up into heavenly and happy places with God. That is a very happy and peaceful place to dwell where all that is unlived in you may blossom into a future graced with love for all. "Oh Grandpat I get it! Jesus and Mary give me a lot more big gifts than Santa. Game, set and match Grandpat." He then walked away as happy as Larry. Aren't young people great at making us really appreciate what we have?

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is day 11 with my new knee and all going well thank God. I had a beautiful chat with the grandchildren this morning and JJ who is 4 asked me the following question. "Grandpat, are Jesus, Mary and Santa friends?" Well, often being put on the spot I replied "of course they are. Jesus and Mary and everyone's friends". JJ then followed up quickly with "why don't they give me presents for Christmas?" This one I found easier as I was now prepared. "Santa brings you gifts at Christmas but Jesus and His family give you gifts every hour and minute of your life like your Mam and Dad, your Grannies and Grandads, all your friends in school, your lovely house, your sister and cousins". Then he said "Oh Grandpat I get it! Jesus and Mary give me a lot more big gifts than Santa. Game, set and match Grandpat." He then walked away as happy as Larry. Aren't young people great at making us really appreciate what we have? Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Monday smile.

For anything to be worthwhile in our lives you need, in my humble opinion, a combination of factors in your favour and in your life. 1. God 2. Close family 3. Wonderful and close friends and I am blessed I have all three and it tells me to take things easy and things will work out.

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is day 10 of my new knee and I am glad to report a great night's sleep and a great morning of exercise and some wonderful discourse at breakfast with all the guests. It is wonderful in a way that you are told by all the medics not to do anything physical and this time I am taking their advice, taking things easy and focusing on prayer and meditation. Anything forced or rushed is not worthwhile. For anything to be worthwhile in our lives you need, in my humble opinion, a combination of factors in your favour and in your life. 1. God 2. Close family 3. Wonderful and close friends and I am blessed I have all three and it tells me to take things easy and things will work out. Somehow we must look for unexpected fruit that God has planted and all of a sudden with nurturing support I thank my family and God for the unknown work laboured in silence.

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is day 9 of my new knee and a painful, very painful last 10-12 hours. No sleep at all during the night and the tablets have no effect. I probably did too much yesterday but we march on. Today is reconciliation day in South Africa and it marks the ending of apartheid and opened up a new world for that country but it has not been easy for them and it is not easy for any situation in conflict. It is not an easy walk. Even in our own life and situations, reconciliation with someone we have fallen out with is often more than we can manage and personally I have my own difficulties at times here even though I coach peace. When someone does you wrong it burrows inside and damages confidence. It may lie still for days and then suddenly it strikes again and again. Somehow we must look for unexpected fruit that God has planted and all of a sudden with nurturing support I thank my family and God for the unknown work laboured in silence. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love for all and wear your Saturday smile.

Even these tiny details could easily be amongst the least spectacular of nature's miracles. Now isn't that a thought to inspire us in our natural world. There is a pristine permanence that knew this place hundreds of millions of years before a human face ever felt it and yet it was so real here this morning.

Good morning everyone and welcome to day 8 of my new knee. I will stop counting when it is day 42 and hopefully I can throw away the crutches. The weather is beautiful, crispy and frosty and when I am out walking as part of my exercise regime my pace is such that I see nature even in a more beautiful fashion. We all know nature is full of genius, full of divinity and not even one piece of frosted crystal escapes its fashioning hand. Even these tiny details could easily be amongst the least spectacular of nature's miracles. Now isn't that a thought to inspire us in our natural world. We have always been told of God's guidance where He takes all the responsibilities of life from our shoulders and it is a great feeling and a joy to feel, so free and yet so planned for but to reach this state of mind we must shut out the noise of the outside world for a time each day. This will allow us to find harmony between our soul and our life.

Good morning everyone and welcome to day 6 of The Mindful Farmers new knee experience and so far it has been wonderful. The pain is manageable with the medication and now that I am home in familiar surroundings it will expedite the recovery. It is funny really with all the exercises and especially the walking ones, I have to be so careful. One step carefully at a time and now I have to make that time count. It is as if it is Gods guidance. We have always been told of Gods guidance where He takes all the responsibilities of life from our shoulders and it is a great feeling and a joy to feel, so free and yet so planned for but to reach this state of mind we must shut out the noise of the outside world for a time each day.
