The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 730

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. It is a very historic day here today at Ballinwillin House. Two full years of daily blogs. Covid 19 is still simmering away with numbers very high again and now another war, the war in the Ukraine. It is a time for resilience, strength and prayer and if all this isn't enough last evening some vandals cut some fencing on the deer farm and went in with lurcher dogs and attacked the deer injuring many and stressing all the pregnant females. I must say I got a very disappointing response from the Gardaí so far but we will wait and see what the morning brings. There was wonderful kindness and support from the neighbours Ciara and Amy. Thank God for good, strong and honourable people. When you go about your daily work and mind your own business and help people as much as you can, when people violate your space and injure your animals, for me, it is the last straw. Injure me but not the innocent animals. It is a wound that burrows inside my heart and takes to ground my confidence. But I need to shape this hurt, teach my heart to forgive, learn more compassion and pray to God for help with this awful affair. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and hope to all who need it and wear your smile.
