The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 752

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. We had to make a big decision on the farm this morning and a sad one. One of our big, old, beech trees that must be nearly 300 years old has been diagnosed as being seriously decayed inside and is very dangerous. We have made the decision to order a special high hoist, an all terrain one, that will take us up 80 feet high and we can begin to limb it down carefully. We have had to do this before and it is a very sad prospect but we plant at least five more in its place. How many generations will see them grow? Nature teaches us that nothing lasts forever but it gives us courage to seek new solutions to our difficulties. Nature also teaches us that when we turn to it we find a new light, a new hope. It is spring time on the farm and we will find that new courage, new hope and new birth of the new beech trees. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and hope to all who need it and wear your Thursday smile.
