The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1344

Good morning everyone and welcome. Over the weekend we completed a very big and difficult job of pruning and felling large pine trees on our boundary. Trees contribute hugely to our life and living and when they grow too tall and dangerous and endanger human life we have to take action. So, with the help of Chris and John, we cut down two very large Leylandii trees and pruned back five Scott pines that were about 50 feet tall. We pruned them to about 25 feet tall and they can now re-vigor. Elsewhere at Carrick an Daimh I have planted ten trees to replace the two I cut down and will plant more. Now when I look around Carrick an Daimh I recognize and understand the humility of this place, this land as it transfigures all that has fallen of outlived growth and let us thank the earth and nature for all her new growth and let us grow with it. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Monday smile.
