Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. Today is a very special day when the sun appears highest in the sky. Back in the day, people always said the longest day of the year was also the hottest so we will see. It is also referred to as the midpoint of the growing season and always at home back in West Limerick we always celebrated with a roast pig on a spit, feasting, dancing, singing and being happy. Bonfires were lit at cross roads and people always washed their faces with the morning dew. So today, do something to celebrate this great day and be happy, enjoy and do something you and your family will remember. Continue to pray, bless and power healing to all who need it and wear your solstice smile.
