The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1276

Good morning everyone and welcome. Last evening and again this morning I was out amongst the deer as the rutting season has just begun. Big John, one of our main stags is in full flight and eager once again to procreate. This time of year in the deer farming calendar is a very defining time where the next generation of animals is taking place. The roar of the stag, his majestic stance and his huge roar can be heard for miles around. It is a wonderful and unique sound especially in the dead of night. Many things in all our lives have changed but the rut and the stag's seasonal roar will never change, thank God. Nature will not change what has always worked and if we are lucky we won't change much either and live side by side with nature and with good, reliable friends around us. Reliable then and reliable now, just like the stag, just like nature, just like our friends, we need never change.
