The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary 317

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre on day 27 of our latest lock down. This morning the neighbourhood is cold with the winter freeze but soon we will experience the death of winter and the birth of spring, but also this morning in Ballinwillin we mourn the death and passing of Joe Mulcahy our neighbour, a legend in the music business and a founding member of the famous Maurice Mulcahy Band. A band that gave huge enjoyment to thousands of people worldwide. This morning our prayers are with his family, friends and neighbours. Now destiny calls Joe to a place of music where his trumpet will sound again for all our spiritual enjoyment, where his heart will always remain generous, all heavenly doors will open to his musical light as you now quietly befriend your death and you have no need to fear. You are among your own orchestra in the big band with your pure white suit you are now equal to your destiny and nearer to Earths heart. Rest in peace Joe. Continue to pray, bless and power healing to all who need it and wear your smile.

Today in the name of these sweet magnolias where the breeze holds your perfume inspiring us to stay in rhythm with our eternal breath. Today I am so fortunate and grateful to absorb this sweetness that flows from Mother Earth.

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. It is that time of year again when the magnificent magnolias flower at Ballinwillin House. This huge, lush, extravagant display of floral beauty is unrivaled in my opinion. I give thanks for this beautiful shrub that lifts all our senses. When the fragrance and beauty of these wonderful plants breaks through the winds here it refreshes my heart and reminds me I am so lucky to be a child of the earth and so fortunate that my inner eye can see these beautiful and delicate petals where it registers the beauty of the complete otherness that surrounds me here. Today in the name of these sweet magnolias where the breeze holds your perfume inspiring us to stay in rhythm with our eternal breath. Today I am so fortunate and grateful to absorb this sweetness that flows from Mother Earth. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and hope to all who need it and wear your Monday smile.

Mothers are sacred, special and as near to devine as possible on earth. It is true of Kipling when he said "when God realised he could not be everywhere he ordained mothers". We only have one mother, so patient, kind and true. No one else in the world will be the same to you.

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. It is another Sunday but a very special one as we celebrate another Mothers Day. It is well documented in my blogs over the years what my opinion on mothers are. Mothers are sacred, special and as near to devine as possible on earth. It is true of Kipling when he said "when God realised he could not be everywhere he ordained mothers". We only have one mother, so patient, kind and true. No one else in the world will be the same to you. So lets take a moment on this special Sunday and think what would the world be like if we based our decisions on what our mother would think of them. I have no doubt it would be a better place. My Mums nearness always fills the air around me and everyone around Ballinwillin House and everywhere we go and every morning when I arise I can hear her voice of blessing whispering in my heart. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and hope to all who need it and wear your Sunday smile.

Always cultivate a thankful and joyous heart. It does two things - it glorifies God and fills you with Joy. What a wonderful world we can make.

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. I write and speak a lot about being thankful and having a thankful attitude and heart. It tempers all our thoughts and is a wonderful safeguard for your heart. A thankful heart is the window through which you perceive life. When you are grateful, a radiant light shines on all circumstances. I remember every day what my late Mam used to say about the "sister sins complaining and criticizing". There is no place in our real and spiritual world for the two above. Always cultivate a thankful and joyous heart. It does two things - it glorifies God and fills you with Joy. What a wonderful world we can make. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and hope to all who need it and wear your Saturday smile.

A new confidence will come alive where your imagination will learn to engage difficulty as its most rewarding threshold.

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. This morning I am asking you all to pray for courage for people all over the world who need lots of courage mpw. For the people of the Eukrane, for people still fighting the Covid war and for people near to us at home who are fighting their own wars against illness of various forms. Search with them to find that diamond of light and let them know that they are not alone and this darkness has some hidden purpose and will expose a special gifft that your life requires. As we now pray for you we gather all the warm kindling around your heart to create that one spark that is all you need to nourish the flame that will cleanse this darkness forever. A new confidence will come alive where your imagination will learn to engage difficulty as its most rewarding threshold. Let us all pray together and continue to do so each day and power blessings, peace and hope to all who need it in our world. It will transform our world and joy, thankfulness and peace are the pathways and don't forget to wear your Friday smile.

We as farmers are just custodians of this precious earth and we move with the rhythm of Mother Nature. She in turn will balance our minds, hearts and souls.

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. For the first time in many years we have purchased Belgian Blue calves for rearing on the farm and also three Scottish Highland calves. All looking to the future and a little change from the rearing of deer, wild boar and goats which we still farm also. When you look at the welcoming faces of these beautiful animals, everyone on the farm is delighted to be involved and is busy welcoming them and fussing about them. In times when there is a big push to urbanising the earth and building goes on everywhere it is encouraging to see farmers still holding their ground and keeping the intimate knowledge of the land and the clay alive. In time we will all be nourished with fruits from the earth and the farmers' hands. We as farmers are just custodians of this precious earth and we move with the rhythm of Mother Nature. She in turn will balance our minds, hearts and souls. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and hope to all who need it and wear your Thursday smile.

I also find that these times help me to meditate more deeply where I can pray more deeply to find my peace and then pass on this peace, prayers and blessings to all who need it.

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. The Mindful Farmer is relaxing today, thinking, writing and dreaming. It is necessary to take time out for these moments. When we engage creatively we deport from the fixed world of daily routine and grounded facts surrounding our lives. We enter into a world where something is not yet but might be on its way from the invisible. To form this type of excitement is what fuels me to write and lets my imagination trowel the crowded seas of white pages. The artistic life is vulnerable and often chaotic and overwhelming but when something true begins to emerge you experience the golden moments that redeems all the splintered times. I also find that these times help me to meditate more deeply where I can pray more deeply to find my peace and then pass on this peace, prayers and blessings to all who need it. What a beautiful feeling to arise each day with a voice of blessing, peace and hope whispering in your heart. Have a wonderful, peaceful, mindful day and wear your Wednesday smile.

Faith, love and hope are all in the waiting in that place where we will find harmony between our souls and our lives.

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. When we awaken in the morning the first thing to do is to give thanks then as we proceed throughout the day we must practice trusting and thanking God all along the way. Trust is the channel through which all peace flows and thankfulness lifts us all above our circumstances, For me on the farm and in the gardens it is perhaps easier to live in the now and in peace with a grateful and trusting heart but if we all do a little each day living by faith and not by sight we will all be much happier. Faith, love and hope are all in the waiting in that place where we will find harmony between our souls and our lives. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and hope to all who need it and wear your Tuesday smile.

Hope has the audacity to reach a hand into darkness and come out with a hand full of light

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. Recently I published a book on Hope in a time of crisis. My view on hope is that it is stubborn. It has the ability to accept the strengths and weaknesses in people and situations. It is not arrogant but it is not modest either. It can be daring, courageous, but most importantly it has the audacity to reach a hand into darkness and come out with a hand full of light. We must believe all will be well and then it will be well. Hope is not optimism. It is what we have when the bottom falls out of optimism. True hope is divine. It is the call to be what is not yet. It is the dream to arise each day with the voice of blessing whispering in your heart. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and hope to all who need it and wear your Monday smile.

Some of us find love in spouses, family, pets. Kindness and love takes many shapes and many directions. So today, I would like to dedicate my prayer and yours to the poor souls who consider themselves completely unloved.

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. Most of us are around family and friends who care about us and love us. One of Granduncle Jacks sayings was "how can you be poor if you are loved?" Some of us find love in spouses, family, pets. Kindness and love takes many shapes and many directions. So today, I would like to dedicate my prayer and yours to the poor souls who consider themselves completely unloved. God gave his soul to us because He loved us. How can any of us be spiritually poor? If you are spiritually loved and happy how can we be poor? The spirituality of us all, especially us country people, always seem to belong to a happier, more noble order. Our life is looked on as a creative source to God and man. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and hope to all who need it and wear your Sunday best smile.

Now we cannot see with our gaze your face but it will always come back to us holding beauty and kindness and your music will always be heard in our ears. We pray that this dark grief will flower with hope in every heart that loves you. We pray that all sadness will be wiped from your mind and we know now that we will never lose you again.

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. Yesterday we were remembering all the people who lost their lives to Covid 19. It is very sad and difficult to explain and even sympathise with all the families and friends who have lost such beautiful and wonderful people who have contributed so much to our society. Now we cannot see with our gaze your face but it will always come back to us holding beauty and kindness and your music will always be heard in our ears. We pray that this dark grief will flower with hope in every heart that loves you. We pray that all sadness will be wiped from your mind and we know now that we will never lose you again. Spring has been born to be with us. We too were born to be unique. To be born is to be chosen and therefore it is our duty to inhabit our own individuality and to live the life that we came here for and to waste our hearts on fear no more.

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. St. Patrick's Day yesterday was well celebrated across Ireland and the world. Our green, gold and white colours were proudly held high. It is a day that marks the turning of the corner into spring. Spring is raising its hand and will heat the earth with its light and hope and it puts a smile across our celtic faces. The days will grow longer now just like they do every year and hope is again in sight. We as human beings will always look for the beautiful road ahead. Spring has been born to be with us. We too were born to be unique. To be born is to be chosen and therefore it is our duty to inhabit our own individuality and to live the life that we came here for and to waste our hearts on fear no more. Have that courage not to postpone your dreams any more. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and hope to all who need it and wear your Friday smile.

These little angels on stage did stir my heart and soul and reminded me to be fully alive and in the now so all that is eternal in me can move to the territories of peace and fall into rhythm with me and in nature. Praise be the youth, our future.

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. It is a beautiful St. Patricks day morning here at Ballinwillin House and already we have done a farm and garden tour with the grandchildren. I want to mention something very special that took place last night. It was a Patricks Day concert that took place in Ballyporeen, also famous because of Ronald Reagan's visit. This concert was for children 4 - 12 years old and was brilliant. Our interest was Ada, our four year old grandchild who was performing and she was brilliant, as they all were. The scene on the stage was set with the beautiful Galtee mountains as a backdrop. The concert was all about youth, spring, growth and hope. It was a delight to witness and it set my heart on fire. These little angels on stage did stir my heart and soul and reminded me to be fully alive and in the now so all that is eternal in me can move to the territories of peace and fall into rhythm with me and in nature. Praise be the youth, our future. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and hope to all who need it and wear your Patricks Day smile.

I need to shape this hurt, teach my heart to forgive, learn more compassion and pray to God for help with this awful affair.

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. It is a very historic day here today at Ballinwillin House. Two full years of daily blogs. Covid 19 is still simmering away with numbers very high again and now another war, the war in the Ukraine. It is a time for resilience, strength and prayer and if all this isn't enough last evening some vandals cut some fencing on the deer farm and went in with lurcher dogs and attacked the deer injuring many and stressing all the pregnant females. I must say I got a very disappointing response from the Gardaí so far but we will wait and see what the morning brings. There was wonderful kindness and support from the neighbours Ciara and Amy. Thank God for good, strong and honourable people. When you go about your daily work and mind your own business and help people as much as you can, when people violate your space and injure your animals, for me, it is the last straw. Injure me but not the innocent animals. It is a wound that burrows inside my heart and takes to ground my confidence. But I need to shape this hurt, teach my heart to forgive, learn more compassion and pray to God for help with this awful affair. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and hope to all who need it and wear your smile.

It is my duty to keep this intimate knowledge of the clay alive

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. It is a beautiful morning here this morning and The Mindful Farmer is off to the fields doing repair jobs to the fences and the gates, checking water troughs etc and getting all the animals ready to go into their fresh spring paddocks. It is a beautiful time every year. Everywhere and everything is fresh with excitement. It is the time of year that reminds me of my responsibilities to the land, to nature and that they are able to trust the warm and true intentions of my heart, my hand, making this farm and domain of shelter and nourishment for all to dwell and thrive in the imagination of springtime. It is my duty to keep this intimate knowledge of the clay alive. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and hope to all who need it and wear your Tuesday smile.

When we are struck by this wonderment something awakens in our highest regions of destiny. Our time is about to behave differently when we are visited by such beauty and fragrance. Compliments of Mother Nature on magnolia Monday.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. It is another Monday and I am going to call it "magnolia monday". As I was walking in the garden I was admiring the magnificent magnolias, the magic of a flower, the magic of a wonderful tree from bare but to a ragingly wonderful forest of flame. She has worked tirelessly over the past three decades running many businesses and rearing a great family also but last night in Cork this hard work was rewarded and recognition is very important. It is similar to thankfulness and this award is saying to Miriam we are thankful to you for your commitment to the hospitality business, welcoming people from all over the world into the bosom of our home to enjoy great hospitality and food. The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 725

Our Celtic minds have a very keen and refined sense of acceptance and occasion and we know deep down that we will be blessed in every possible happening.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. Today is a very special day in the life of The Mindful Farmer. It is the birth and publication of my second book "Hope in a time of crisis", 365 days of messages to help people have hope in these difficult times. I began writing these messages on the first days of the Corona virus pandemic. I had a gut feeling that this was very serious and I began by writing down how I was feeling daily, what was going on around me on the farm, gardens and in my life, my family life and business. It was all very difficult and traumatic at times and also there were happy times. Each day I endeavoured to help people, to give people hope by being thankful, by praying, by blessing, by powering out hope and faith to my family, friends and all who needed help. This book is powered by hope and faith and is a tribute to my wonderful family, friends and colleagues who, over the years and in this pandemic, have believed in me, have helped me and loved me. Without all this support my dreams could not be fulfilled. The hidden, unseen bud in darkness would not have germinated. My daily messages of hope are powered to people to express life, joy, happiness and delight that you are all out there alive and living in hope which is the daughters to the wonderful Mother of Faith. Our Celtic minds have a very keen and refined sense of acceptance and occasion and we know deep down that we will be blessed in every possible happening. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and hope to all who need it and wear your Friday smile.

We must be thankful, we must be peaceful, we must bless all who need blessings and healings and we must pray for guidance on our pathway to free your heart so that the compass of your soul might direct you towards the territories of your spirit.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. Every day we wake up it is exciting. It is a further step in our journey towards maturity. We cannot turn back the clock of time but no matter how old we are there is always an opportunity on every given day for us all to mature, to become nearer to who we are meant to be. We must choose this pathway. We must be thankful, we must be peaceful, we must bless all who need blessings and healings and we must pray for guidance on our pathway to free your heart so that the compass of your soul might direct you towards the territories of your spirit. all our courageous hearts will go forth and engage with life despite all the present confusion and fear. Forgiving hearts know the art of liberation.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. The world we live in today is a very different world now. If you look at weather patterns, storms are a regular occurrence now. We have been dealing with the Covid war for the past 723 days and not at all over yet .Now we have the war in the Ukraine, God only knows when it will end. The world is in turmoil and is a very needy place. Where do we go for shelter, sustenance and peace? We must shelter under the completeness of God and His holy mother. We must live in the light of their presence and then that light will shine brightly into the lives of others. From where all our courageous hearts will go forth and engage with life despite all the present confusion and fear. Forgiving hearts know the art of liberation. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Wednesday smile.
