The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary 317

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre on day 27 of our latest lock down. This morning the neighbourhood is cold with the winter freeze but soon we will experience the death of winter and the birth of spring, but also this morning in Ballinwillin we mourn the death and passing of Joe Mulcahy our neighbour, a legend in the music business and a founding member of the famous Maurice Mulcahy Band. A band that gave huge enjoyment to thousands of people worldwide. This morning our prayers are with his family, friends and neighbours. Now destiny calls Joe to a place of music where his trumpet will sound again for all our spiritual enjoyment, where his heart will always remain generous, all heavenly doors will open to his musical light as you now quietly befriend your death and you have no need to fear. You are among your own orchestra in the big band with your pure white suit you are now equal to your destiny and nearer to Earths heart. Rest in peace Joe. Continue to pray, bless and power healing to all who need it and wear your smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1166

This fountain of sound across the valley on John's mountain would quench anyones thirst for peace and soul. On days like these we dismiss all discord and strife renewing hope and joy and relaxing in the balm of nature and the healing powers of smell and song. The earth is able to trust the worm and true intention of the farmers hand as we smell this beautiful honey scented hay.

Good morning everyone and welcome to another beautiful day in May and in the meadow. The smell of freshly cut grass that will soon turn to hay is very soothing and comforting and in the distance the pheasant, the crows and even the thrush all scamper for their servings of meadow fresh worms. Something for everyone, even the farmer. It is a time I believe all farmers treasure deeply, this ancient day that creates a harvest spirit and awakening and reminds us to live life to the full in mind, spirit and life. Lets be thankful for this special season in beautiful and wondrous May.

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is harvest time again on the farm and we plan to cut the meadows on Johns mountain today and save our usual crop of early summer green hay mixed with an abundance of flowers for flavour and sustenance for animal feed during the winter. This is the time of year I bless the imagination of Mother Earth and I salute the certainty of her bounty. It is also a time when I think back over the meadows of past years growing up as a child and enjoying the wonderment and freedom of the clean cut meadows holding the memories of smells of past seasons. It is a time I believe all farmers treasure deeply, this ancient day that creates a harvest spirit and awakening and reminds us to live life to the full in mind, spirit and life. Lets be thankful for this special season in beautiful and wondrous May. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Thursday smile.

We need to treasure our friends, we must be good to them, be there for them, understand their challenges and be truth and light for them. When they are isolated as oftentimes they can be let them know and feel the embrace of a true friend with a passionate and vibrant true Irish hug.

Good morning everyone and welcome to a beautiful Wednesday morning in May. Today during my morning meditation and journey my mind directed me to friendship and all my great and loyal friends who I pray for every day and give thanks for them and their prayers and support. I am blessed with good friends and I hope I am a good friend in return. We need to treasure our friends. We must be good to them, be there for them, understand their challenges and be truth and light for them. When they are isolated as oftentimes they can be let them know and feel the embrace of a true friend with a passionate and vibrant true Irish hug. Yeats said "friendship is the only home we have." May that home always have a key on the door just like we always had at home in West Limerick. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Wednesday smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1163

It is up to us all to learn from the crow and build our dreams for the future on past experiences, park them, learn from them and dream on.

Good morning everyone and welcome to The Mindful Farmers thoughts for the day. During the night and in early morning I noticed my mind was reaching too far during meditation. The mind can travel furiously fast over time and journeys oftentimes uselessly triggering anxiety so we need to slow it down. Grand Uncle Jack used to say while sitting in the field "the mind is like an old crow." It gathers old twigs and cast away pieces and bring them back to fill the vacancy between branches of an old tree then fixes and entwines them around this emptiness to make a nest. The crow does all this with patience, time and in silence. It is amazing work really, gathering what was fallen withered and lost to make a nest full of dreams for the future. It is up to us all to learn from the crow and build our dreams for the future on past experiences, park them, learn from them and dream on. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Tuesday smile.

There are times in all our lives that can be dark and full of strife but always a light will shine and lead us from the dark of night and into a new day, fresh and whole. Faith will always feed our soul.

Good morning everyone and welcome. We are after a dry few days on the land and farmers are already looking for rain. Can you believe it? Well, thats the way life is but one would love to ask where is the "faith"? The seeds we sow will always grow when nurtured, watered and fed with care then the shoots and roots will soon be there. It is the same in life. There are times in all our lives that can be dark and full of strife but always a light will shine and lead us from the dark of night and into a new day, fresh and whole. Faith will always feed our soul. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Monday smile.

Now she is living near the source of destiny where her blessings for us all are accurate and penetrating and protecting her family with a shield of steel. On this Sunday I will spend much time talking and praying to my Mam and we will enjoy the sunshine and the roses together with all her family.

Good morning everyone and welcome to the view from The Mindful Farmers window of wonder on this beautiful and special Sunday morning in May. Why is it so special? Well, you all know at this stage that my Mam loved the month of May. She was a nature lover and lived on the land and by the land and nature. She loved to garden, plant trees, flowers and especially roses and she was the main inspiration in the design of my Gardens here at Ballinwillin House. It is ironic that she passed in the month of May 13 years ago today and I still miss her so much but I know she is beside me and my family all of the time and looking after us now in a way she could not do when she lived here on earth. Now she is living near the source of destiny where her blessings for us all are accurate and penetrating and protecting her family with a shield of steel. On this Sunday I will spend much time talking and praying to my Mam and we will enjoy the sunshine and the roses together with all her family. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Sunday best smile.

I give thanks for the night that nourished my heart and mind. I then welcome the wonder of the new day and the field of May brightness and growth it may create. It is a time for everything to grow and illuminate. I then listen to nature and for it to inspire me during this day and that my mind will come alive and that I will continue to live the life that I so dearly love, fuelled by the nourishment of Mother Earth.

Good morning everyone and welcome to the view from The Mindful Farmers window of wonder on this beautiful May morning. Every morning I awaken I give thanks for the miracle of life and health in the embracing name of God, Mary and my family. When I close my eyes in deep meditation for this day I hear the fluency and buoyancy of the ocean crashing and splashing in its tidal certainty reminding me how lucky I am to be a child of this earth on this day. They did not see time as routine but with their shy beauty made their lives and ours sacred with a weave of blessings and love. That was my mindful journey this morning and it was beautiful.

Good morning everyone and welcome to another beautiful Friday morning. This morning during meditation my mind was drawn towards mornings like this when I was growing up as a child on the farm in West Limerick. My parents never stopped working in order to better us as a family. They lived their lives almost exclusively for us and others. I think now, did they have any time for themselves? Had they any time to decide who they wanted to be or were they just living a life of just total creative service? They did not see time as routine but with their shy beauty made their lives and ours sacred with a weave of blessings and love. That was my mindful journey this morning and it was beautiful. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Friday smile.

When one is happy with their day's work you will approach the new day with dreams, possibilities and promises. May our days work always calm, console and renew us and when we lay our head on the nights pillow our heart will smile and our mind will rest easy.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Today I am going to talk about work and work ethic and I am very thankful that my parents set a great example of work ethic and that I inherited it from them. It is very important to enjoy one's work. Each new day presents us with endless possibilities and promises. When you do a good day's work it releases in you a wellspring of refreshment, inspiration and excitement. It is important that the day's work never burdens you. When one is happy with their day's work you will approach the new day with dreams, possibilities and promises. May our days work always calm, console and renew us and when we lay our head on the nights pillow our heart will smile and our mind will rest easy. “A word of prayer covers more than most of us could possibly expect or imagine.”

Good morning everyone and welcome to another beautiful May morning and my thanksgiving each and every day is focused on prayer and I frequently ask my clients and people I meet "do you pray" and most people's response is generally positive and that in some form or other they pray. Recently I was surprised by the following answer: "A word of prayer covers more than most of us could possibly expect or imagine". Wisdom comes in many forms and many different tongues. Have a beautiful, mindful and peaceful Wednesday.

To be born is to be chosen and to be here is immense.

Good morning everyone and welcome to the view from The Mindful Farmers window of wonder. I was in the company of a group of young teachers recently and it was heartwarming to hear their view on modern teaching and one kind person said "sure don't we all have different skills and there is a place for everyone out there in our world." I thought to myself that that was a kindness worth emulating and a wisdom worth remembering that to be born is to be chosen and to be here is immense. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your smile.

"if we don't think the difference is ours to make then why do we exist? Why do we speak? Why do we work? Why do we smile? Why are we kind?" There are so many answers to this why and we all have them in our own unique ways but if we think more deeply about it and are more conscious about it then we can all make a huge difference in life, in family life and in all areas.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Well, it is the beginning of yet another week and over the weekend I was asked a question "do you think we make a difference in this world?" I paused for a moment and then said of course we do and of course we can do better. I went on to say "if we don't think the difference is ours to make then why do we exist? Why do we speak? Why do we work? Why do we smile? Why are we kind?" There are so many answers to this why and we all have them in our own unique ways but if we think more deeply about it and are more conscious about it then we can all make a huge difference in life, in family life and in all areas. May all that is unlived in us blossom into a wonderful future. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Monday smile.

For me it is a wonderful gift to be able to live in the countryside. It allows one to be so content and happy with life. Often in our lifetime many constraints and restrictions are placed on us and around us but for me, living a life in the countryside reminds me that heaven is close at hand.

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Sunday and what a beautiful sunny one it is. For me it is a wonderful gift to be able to live in the countryside. It allows one to be so content and happy with life. Often in our lifetime many constraints and restrictions are placed on us and around us but for me, living a life in the countryside reminds me that heaven is close at hand. Modern spirituality and psychology are full of loneliness but people living in the countryside see life as an act of creative service and full participation and the rural mind does not see life as a routine or living on a treadmill, we just live in the now. On this Sunday it is up to us all to live in the now and continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Sunday best smile.

I have learned over the years that I don't have to try and do everything today. I don't have to know everything. I don't have to be fast and efficient, I just have to be myself, who I was created to be and this applies to all of us. We all need to know that we have our own gifts and that is what makes us individually unique and all we have to do then is reach out with joy and love.

It is said that ninety two percent of what we worry about we have no control over. Therefore, it is very wise to give that small eight percent to God and bask in peace of mind and live by faith and not by sight and enjoy this beautiful, fresh day in May.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. I noticed recently from my involvement with people that their minds can be very entangled and worried. In many cases people strive to do something about something they can do nothing about and that is when peace disappears. It is said that ninety two per cent of what we worry about we have no control over. Therefore, it is very wise to give that small eight per cent to God and bask in peace of mind and live by faith and not by sight and enjoy this beautiful, fresh day in May. We then replace the problem, the worry, with peace and joy which flows freely as God's gift to us so enjoy it and live it to the fullest." Go into nature and revisit yourself, the real you, the person you were born to be and breathe in your soul light.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. Today, I welcome another beautiful day and give thanks for all that surrounds me in this world and in this life. Yesterday I was asked a question about why we worry so much about issues and I replied "most of our worries are not today's concerns.” We seem to borrow worries and concerns from the future, from tomorrow and when and when we do this we take the problem from today and deposit it into the future which we can't foretell and is veiled from our vision. We then replace the problem, the worry, with peace and joy which flows freely as God's gift to us so enjoy it and live it to the fullest. Go into nature and revisit yourself, the real you, the person you were born to be and breathe in your soul light. In nature the farmer always plans for generations to come. Nature really is the great artist of longing and everything that we see and enjoy in this world comes from her mind and imagination and here we are all children of her. Earth's dreaming all we need do is to go outside and inhale her goodness.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. It is a very busy time on the farm getting the paddocks ready to receive all the animals.  All must be planned, checked for fencing, water etc and then the next movement in approx two weeks as we move all stock into new and fresh pasture. It is a lovely time of year and May is usually very good weather wise. It is wonderful to see the animals bounding around with happiness and glee in their natural surroundings. Then we have all types of birds singing in an almost deafening chorus, the leaves bursting forth in the trees and in the garden, the camellias, rhododendrons and magnolias are dreaming of colour. In nature the farmer always plans for generations to come. Nature really is the great artist of longing and everything that we see and enjoy in this world comes from her mind and imagination and here we are all children of her. The forgiving heart always knows the art of liberation and a loving heart awakens the spirit to possibility and engagement with others. It was agreed that God dwells in all divine hearts. That is where the sanctuary is for all of us - The Divine Sanctuary.

Good morning everyone and welcome to The Mindful Farmers window of wonder on this beautiful Sunday morning. Last evening I was fortunate to be in the company of some amazing people in the West and as always the topics were varied and wide ranging but they seemed to focus on compassion for a longer period than other topics. The sun was sinking slowly in its crimson brilliance and it seemed to stimulate debate. The overall agreement was that the compassionate heart will never carry the burden of judgement. The forgiving heart always knows the art of liberation and a loving heart awakens the spirit to possibility and engagement with others. It was agreed that God dwells in all divine hearts. That is where the sanctuary is for all of us - The Divine Sanctuary. On this beautiful first Sunday of May, continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope amd love to all and wear your Sunday best smile.
