The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary 317

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre on day 27 of our latest lock down. This morning the neighbourhood is cold with the winter freeze but soon we will experience the death of winter and the birth of spring, but also this morning in Ballinwillin we mourn the death and passing of Joe Mulcahy our neighbour, a legend in the music business and a founding member of the famous Maurice Mulcahy Band. A band that gave huge enjoyment to thousands of people worldwide. This morning our prayers are with his family, friends and neighbours. Now destiny calls Joe to a place of music where his trumpet will sound again for all our spiritual enjoyment, where his heart will always remain generous, all heavenly doors will open to his musical light as you now quietly befriend your death and you have no need to fear. You are among your own orchestra in the big band with your pure white suit you are now equal to your destiny and nearer to Earths heart. Rest in peace Joe. Continue to pray, bless and power healing to all who need it and wear your smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1086

We all know how dear, gentle, beautiful and kind our mothers are and whose nearness always fills the air and stills the sounds. We could have grown nowhere else.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. Today, 7th March, is my late Mams birthday and it was always a lovely day of celebrations. It will be today too as she watches over us all. Kipling said God realised that he could not be everywhere, that is why we have mothers. My version of this is when God realised he could not be everywhere and could not do everything he ordained mothers. We all know how dear, gentle, beautiful and kind our mothers are and whose nearness always fills the air and stills the sounds. We could have grown nowhere else. From the depths of your heart to the centre of mine and yours. Yours was the first home sound. We heard you before we knew each other. Happy birthday Mam and all mams. Your voices will always soothe. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Tuesday smile.

A morning like this morning gives us hope. When we have real and true hope it is different, it is beyond the imaginable.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. It is another beautiful, amazing and sunny morning here this morning. A morning like this morning gives us hope. When we have real and true hope it is different, it is beyond the imaginable. True hope is divine, it is beyond most of our dreams, our expectations, our imaginations. It is the voice to be who and what we are not. Just like the snowdrops, daffodils and bluebells before spring preparing to emerge from the cold soil, like babies in the womb, urging slowly, surely forward, forming always and waiting even more. We must all have this hope on a beautiful and amazing sunny day. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Monday smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1084

We always quietly sensed that in each others heart there was an inner companion.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. This day, March 5th, will always be a special day to remember. On this day 19 years ago my Dad passed on to his eternal and spiritual reward. Today I will spend much of my time in the fields and gardens in his spiritual company and discussing all relevant issues. He worked and loved the land in his own quiet, consistent way. He was always gentle but firm and there was always a climate of kindness around him. His presence was like a sheltering oak tree. He understood the earth, the land and the earth trusted him. Today, together in our fields of distance we walk together, we talk together, we pray together. At times there were many things we could have said but words were never wanted. We always quietly sensed that in each others heart there was an inner companion. Thanks for everything Dad and remember that no matter how life changes, no matter what we do, a special place within our hearts is always kept for you. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Sunday smile.

All these acts combine in our ability to believe and expect that what God has promised us will always come through if we have faith and live by faith and not sight and allow us to live in the miracle of hope.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. All paths are full of potholes and stumbling blocks but we must always persevere and tune in hope. Hope, in my experience, is best on prayer, thanksgiving, blessings and trust. All these acts combine in our ability to believe and expect that what God has promised us will always come through if we have faith and live by faith and not sight and allow us to live in the miracle of hope. It has served my family and I well over the last 45 years and many more prior to these years in my beloved West Limerick. I will set my face to the wind. I will set my courage and faith to keep facing the wind. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your smile.

There will always be brighter days with fresh growth colour in the garden and fields.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. I speak and write a lot about hope. We have to have hope. We know the dawn of day always comes. There will always be brighter days with fresh growth colour in the garden and fields. I believe hope is beyond our imagination and that is why we must continue to pray earnestly. Spring always comes. It may be different each year but it always comes. We must trust in the river of life. I certainly do as from childhood I have always walked by its banks. The river of life has an amazing and astonishing way of taking care of us all. Flow gently with us all. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Friday smile.

We can lighten the burden of people when we share a happy smile.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. They say that you can't be happy all the time but I say "yes you can". There are varying types of happiness and if we place our moods all into the happy frame then we are in a very healthy situation. If you are feeling sad then say to yourself "this is the happy/sad me" and if you are really on top of the world with happiness you say to yourself "this is my super happiness me". We must try and wear our happy face every day and take special care to infect and encourage each other towards happiness. We can lighten the burden of people when we share a happy smile. When someone is feeling hurt a warm, welcoming smile will lighten up their hearts and let spirit flow through their souls. Spread the happiness around and continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Thursday smile.

Grass is growing, the camellia are beginning to flower, the daffodils are nodding their heads gaily and the sap of spring is rising in the plant life and our life also.

Good morning all and welcome to a new month. It is a fresh morning on the farm and gardens. Grass is growing, the camellia are beginning to flower, the daffodils are nodding their heads gaily and the sap of spring is rising in the plant life and our life also. It is the season of renewal that inspires new beginnings. This inspiration can urge us all to do something creative. The days are getting longer, the light shines brighter to fill our hearts and souls. We give thanks and all else comes in the form of blessings to shower us all. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Wednesday smile.

No day is ever the same and no day stands still and certainly these beautiful little birds I saw this morning are an example to all of us.

Good morning all and welcome. This morning I came across a noisy and busy group of starlings. It was cold but it didn't seem to bother them. They were dancing about, chirping madly and flying all over the place. To me it seemed that they were very happy and expressing themselves despite the cold weather conditions. I thought to myself that each day can be a field of brightness where the invitation of our life unfolds and is sent to us to awaken and challenge us. No day is ever the same and no day stands still and certainly these beautiful little birds I saw this morning are an example to all of us. Each one of us is an artist of our own days, the greater our integrity and awareness the more original and creative our lives will become. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Tuesday smile.

Take a little time today and sit in silence to celebrate the quiet miracles in our life that seek no attention. It is the day to awaken to the mystery of being here and enter the quiet immensity of our own presence.

Good morning all and welcome once more to my window of wonder. Whether we notice it or not, Mondays and weeks come and go. Every day the sun rises and sets, the tides ebb and flow and the world goes on. If we take the time out and notice what is going on in our world we are filled with wonder. The wonder of our family surrounding us with love, the wonder of our place of work, our garden, our farm, our animals. It is all there as a series of sacred gifts woven around our hearts of wonder. Take a little time today and sit in silence to celebrate the quiet miracles in our life that seek no attention. It is the day to awaken to the mystery of being here and enter the quiet immensity of our own presence. I feel the world beneath my feet as a connection, as a healing, a deep connection, a deep sense of belonging and peace. This connection is silence.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Earlier this morning I was sitting mindfully in the garden in silence. I just empty myself, wait and listen. There is nothing there but the sounds of nature, those God created discreetly, growing, swaying or being rained on or frosted and glistening. I feel the world beneath my feet as a connection, as a healing, a deep connection, a deep sense of belonging and peace. This connection is silence. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Sunday smile.

The dawn is a refreshing time. A time of possibility and a time of purpose. All the elements of nature, rivers, lakes, mountains, fields, animals and young children are all refreshed and full of vigor in the fresh dawn light.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more. The dawn is a refreshing time. A time of possibility and a time of purpose. All the elements of nature, rivers, lakes, mountains, fields, animals and young children are all refreshed and full of vigor in the fresh dawn light. This feeling was renewed yesterday in a meeting with a close friend of mine.  A friend is one that wishes well and all that is good for the other. Our feelings towards our friends reflect our feelings towards ourselves. Friendship is a grace that warms and sweetens our lives and no matter what you have achieved in life, without good, great and close friends you have achieved nothing. Friendship for me reflects the beauty of a perfect dawn. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Saturday smile.

My friend, I find peace here while sitting on your lap of welcome. This safe place is full of understanding and acceptance. When I can be me to heal and grow in the patience of my spirit.

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is a cold but bright morning here this morning. As I go about my daily walk on the farm and in the fields I retreat to the shelter of the big old oak tree and suddenly it forms my place of shelter when all dangers seem to fall away from my shoulders like the leaves of this beautiful, old tree. My friend, I find peace here while sitting on your lap of welcome. This safe place is full of understanding and acceptance. When I can be me to heal and grow in the patience of my spirit. There are many such trees here on the farm to welcome all who visit and no one leaves without their blessings. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Friday smile.

Our home in West Limerick was always an open house and my mam used to say "The glory of an open flower is beyond all our telling and understanding".

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. In the hospitality business, it is our duty to welcome all with open arms and release the warmth we possess so they will have a wonderful experience. Everyone must feel wanted. It is our duty to share the fullness of our experience in the business to share joy, love, happiness, our food, our time and when we do so such wonders do unfold. Our home in West Limerick was always an open house and my mam used to say "The glory of an open flower is beyond all our telling and understanding". Her word was when you give out the above with a glad and true heart and hand. It will always come back in abundance. She was also a wonderful gardener and the gardens at Ballinwillin are styled and dedicated to her. Was it Kipling who said "God can't be everywhere, that's why we have mothers' ". So for today, pray for sharing and pray for mothers and power blessings and healings to all who need it and wear your Thursday smile.

When we sit in silence it enables us to hear the chaos inside of us and when we do, we recognise our own faults and fragility and so we are less quick to condemn others and less certain of our own convictions.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. It is another beautiful morning here this morning. It is wonderful to sit here in the gardens in silence only for the music of the birds. When we sit in silence it enables us to hear the chaos inside of us and when we do, we recognise our own faults and fragility and so we are less quick to condemn others and less certain of our own convictions. Life is a gift, live it to the fullest. Within our hearts and souls it is the invisible sun within us. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your smile.

During the day, take a little time out to meditate and celebrate the quiet miracle that living for today is. It seeks no attention but it is our duty to give it our full attention, live it to the fullest and to celebrate this day and all days that we live.

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is another new day. It is time for us all to experience this day as a secret gift woven all around our hearts. During the day, take a little time out to meditate and celebrate the quiet miracle that living for today is. It seeks no attention but it is our duty to give it our full attention, live it to the fullest and to celebrate this day and all days that we live. A great friend of mine always says that we should celebrate everything at every opportunity and I agree. Let joy and peace temper our senses always and may the warmth of our hearts keep our presence of time. It is the time of year that reminds me of my responsibilities to the land, to nature and that they are able to trust the warm and true intentions of my heart, my hand, making this farm and domain of shelter and nourishment for all to dwell and thrive in the imagination of springtime.

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is a beautiful morning here this morning and The Mindful Farmer is off to the fields doing repair jobs to the fences and the gates, checking water troughs etc and checking on all the animals. It is the time of year that reminds me of my responsibilities to the land, to nature and that they are able to trust the warm and true intentions of my heart, my hand, making this farm and domain of shelter and nourishment for all to dwell and thrive in the imagination of springtime. We can always visit these fields of memory and when we meditate on nature's gifts the light will spread slowly inwards to fill our hearts with peace. Peace in our newfound world.

Good morning everyone and welcome.  It is another Sunday and a wonderful chance for us all to rest and take stock of life, family and nature. On the farm this morning, nature revealed her funny side. The young wild boar were scurrying around like playful children everywhere following me and then I went hiding over and over again, it was a joy to experience. There is a quiet reflection in every heart but these little fellows switched on the light for me this morning and as this morning light lightens my feet and illuminates my mind to the treasures that Mother Nature bestows on us daily. We can always visit these fields of memory and when we meditate on nature's gifts the light will spread slowly inwards to fill our hearts with peace. Peace in our newfound world. Overall we have received many gifts and I would like to think and believe we have unwrapped those gifts as gratefully and gracefully as they were sent to us. You don't live this long without having problems, setbacks, trials, tribulations and sorrow but as time went by we were given God's strength to free our hearts and let joy fill our hearts.

Good morning everyone and welcome. When I look back I give thanks for the wonderful life we have enjoyed here raising a family and running businesses. It is a wonderful feeling when that joy fills our hearts to awaken the wonder in your life. The years have given many beautiful gifts and more to come, please God. Our efforts could never have earned these gifts and what is very important is to have been given the health to enjoy and be who we are meant to be and the peace of mind to mirror its mystery. It is much the same as us as we navigate our lives, new jobs, new places to live, new people in our lives. Just like the river, we change course, we accept change in our lives and find a new direction.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. I often refer to the river in my writings. Our lives remind me of this river that flows whenever it finds openings between trees, rocks and cliffs. Even when it is dammed it will always find a new course. It is much the same as us as we navigate our lives, new jobs, new places to live, new people in our lives. Just like the river, we change course, we accept change in our lives and find a new direction. If we don't, our lives will stagnate and will never flow with ease, poise and passion. We must always be ready to dance with rhythmatic poise. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Friday smile.

Anything that is rushed or forced is not wholesome. Anything that is worthwhile needs patience, time, love, understanding, prayer, mindfulness and blessings.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. Spring has certainly arrived with us. The weather is expressing itself everywhere and in everything and it is also telling us in its own way that it takes a calendar year for nature to complete its cycle. It takes time and we must remember this, besides rushing everywhere and paying little or no attention to the now. When we consider what nature has to do to produce flowers, fruit, wheat, barley and so on, it takes the spring, summer, autumn. It takes bees, sunshine and rain. Anything that is rushed or forced is not wholesome. Anything that is worthwhile needs patience, time, love, understanding, prayer, mindfulness and blessings. It needs trust and Gods power and we must trust by faith and not by sight. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Thursday smile.
