The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary 317

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre on day 27 of our latest lock down. This morning the neighbourhood is cold with the winter freeze but soon we will experience the death of winter and the birth of spring, but also this morning in Ballinwillin we mourn the death and passing of Joe Mulcahy our neighbour, a legend in the music business and a founding member of the famous Maurice Mulcahy Band. A band that gave huge enjoyment to thousands of people worldwide. This morning our prayers are with his family, friends and neighbours. Now destiny calls Joe to a place of music where his trumpet will sound again for all our spiritual enjoyment, where his heart will always remain generous, all heavenly doors will open to his musical light as you now quietly befriend your death and you have no need to fear. You are among your own orchestra in the big band with your pure white suit you are now equal to your destiny and nearer to Earths heart. Rest in peace Joe. Continue to pray, bless and power healing to all who need it and wear your smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1306

We all depend on each other to make a team and if one person is missing from the team the process breaks down and our clockwork will not be as this guest experienced. So today let's be thankful for all team members in every business and acknowledge their great worth and pray for them and their families

Good morning everyone and welcome. Earlier this morning a guest said that he really enjoyed his stay and everything went like clockwork. It got me thinking about the workings of a clock, all the little cogs and wheels all working away, each one dependent on the next and if you take one cog out of a clock it stops. Our business is the same. We all depend on each other to make a team and if one person is missing from the team the process breaks down and our clockwork will not be as this guest experienced. So today let's be thankful for all team members in every business and acknowledge their great worth and pray for them and their families and send healing, peace, hope and love to them all and let us all wear our Friday smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1305

To claim wisdom we must be open and receptive and perceptive and in participation and appreciation of all things in our heart, mind, body and spirit. Being open and helpful to all. It helps usually if we hold God in our hearts and know He is there and not to be afraid to demonstrate this knowledge. How can we ever know ourselves and achieve who we are really meant to be if we don't hold God deep in our hearts?

Good morning everyone and welcome. I am often asked "what is the meaning of wisdom?" and my reply is quite simple: to claim wisdom we must be open and receptive and perceptive and in participation and appreciation of all things in our heart, mind, body and spirit. Being open and helpful to all. It helps usually if we hold God in our hearts and know He is there and not to be afraid to demonstrate this knowledge. How can we ever know ourselves and achieve who we are really meant to be if we don't hold God deep in our hearts? Draw close to that light and warmth within your heart and seek no other shelter and continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Thursday smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1304

When as a child we knew we mattered and we touched everyone's life and we were always made to feel special but then life attacked us and suddenly the child retreated into its shell. This should not happen or should it be allowed to happen in our society. That is why our upcoming retreat and the 23rd of October to the 28th of October inclusive is titled "Rediscover Your Inner Child". Us humans did not weave the web of life, we are merely strands in it. Whatever we do to the web we do to ourselves.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Last evening I was at a funeral gathering of a family member who had 89 great years. I met and chatted with old friends from my childhood and many reminiscing stories were told. It is part of our life's task to reclaim the child in us. The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1303

After breakfast in the mornings we would sit outside in the garden for a while and chat about life, mostly her life and her rich experience and values. When she was leaving she held my right hand and said to me as she looked deep into my eyes "young man, the greatest gift you can give another person is your time and full attention" and she said that is what I've got here at Ballinwillin House.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Recently I had the pleasure of meeting an amazing lady tourist from America who stayed with us for a few days. This woman was nearing her 80's, a little feeble on her feet but the mind was razor sharp. She went on to say "I have been all over the world, stayed in the most amazing and expensive hotels but nobody gave me the time or attention." I felt great. I have learnt a valuable lesson that it is our duty to help people find harmony in their souls and in their life by just simply listening. By the way, the "young man" bit was a bit OTT. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Tuesday smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1302

I keep a treasury of happy moments in my mind and returning to that treasury, especially in difficult times can bring back beauty and joy as vividly as the day I first experienced it. So my message for today is to treasure the moments

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is another very cold and foggy morning here at Ballinwillin House. Well, it is Autumn isn't it? Outside the stag is roaring, the birds are singing and a few brave roses are still flowering. All these moments bring joy to my life and we all need joy in our lives no matter what else is going on in our lives but then joy can fade in the hustle and bustle of life. I keep a treasury of happy moments in my mind and returning to that treasury, especially in difficult times can bring back beauty and joy as vividly as the day I first experienced it. So my message for today is to treasure the moments and continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Monday smile.

Every month brings its unique quality and when we go through the day in a mindful and caring way whether it is farming, gardening, cooking, cleaning, driving, walking or even talking we are then following in the path of truth and peace and justice. Then we are all bringing peace on earth in a more profound and expansive way than we can ever imagine and may all over the world come to ease on this beautiful Sunday.

This ancient clay calls us home, holding within us the memory for all seasons, the passion of the mind, the fluency of the ocean, rivers and water. The quivering touch of the sun and the shadowed sureness of the moon to lift us all. So, on this weekend, give praise to the earth, Mother Earth in mind, spirit and light

Good morning everyone and welcome. This morning as I woke up to a beautiful morning the first thought that came to mind was to bless the imagination of the earth and Mother Nature. When I see the beauty of the garden, the trees, the flowers and the lush green grass and then I salute the kindness of the earth. I suppose the reason that we feel so close to the earth is that we came from earth and we will return to the earth. This ancient clay calls us home, holding within us the memory for all seasons, the passion of the mind, the fluency of the ocean, rivers and water. The quivering touch of the sun and the shadowed sureness of the moon to lift us all. So, on this weekend, give praise to the earth, Mother Earth in mind, spirit and light and continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Saturday smile.

What we all have in common is that being on the receiving end of a good smile can make our day. So today do that and make someone's day with a heartfelt smile and happy World Smile Day to all out there.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Today is World Smile Day so we all know what to do when we meet someone today, even a total stranger. All of us have a smile within us but it is only when we use that smile that the healing can begin for ourselves and for the beneficiary of the smile. What we all have in common is that being on the receiving end of a good smile can make our day. So today do that and make someone's day with a heartfelt smile and happy World Smile Day to all out there. Last year I had the joy of planting some trees in the company of my grandchildren and explaining to them the value of trees and especially our native trees. Trees are our reservoir of the future so if you have a little space anywhere plant a tree no matter how small and watch it grow just like a child. Our trees will help our souls, body and mind stay in rhythm with nature and give us our eternal breath.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Today we are celebrating National Tree Day and a resource our trees are giving us it's oxygen to breathe, reduce pollution, reduce flooding, give shelter to animals, food and shelter to birds and mammals. We plant many trees on the farm every year and it gives me great joy to see them grow. Rain always softens the earth with its nourishment for trees, plants, grass, water to drink, rainfall and animals. Many of us live our lives like the form of a river. That is the ideal way to approach each day with reverence so that our souls can reveal to us how precious our lives are and where real-time is precious. Then we can truly feel who we really are.

Good morning everyone and welcome. There is no doubt that we get a lot of rainfall in Ireland but there are parts of the world that suffer from drought continuously and would be very happy with our climate. This morning my mind was taken back to my 6th birthday when my now late dad arrived with a brown and white Jack Russell puppy. I was overjoyed and we named him Spot as he had brown spots everywhere. Spot and I became inseparable until his passing 12 years later. Blessings can often frighten us all a little, going into an unknown day or week can cause anxiety but this need not be the case as shelter and energy come alive when a beginning is embraced and when we begin destiny conspires with us to support us. Beginnings can be an invitation to open towards gifts and growth that are stored up for us.

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Monday and the beginning of yet another week. To refuse to begin can be an act of great self neglect. If we want to lead a full and really creative life then risk can be our greatest ally. No on all these thoughts let us pray, power healing, peace, hope, and love to all and wear your Monday beginning smile.

Very few of us have learned the art of living in the now and within the confines of a day. Much of our energy for abundant living spills over the timeline into tomorrow's worries or past regrets. The energy that remains is only for limping through the day. So on this beautiful restful Sunday live in the now in peace, in prayer, and in nature

It is the beginning of yet another month in our lives. It is a Sunday, a day of rest and the sun is shining but if it isn't shining where you are, take this day as a glorious gift. See all there is to see and don't be distracted by tomorrow or future concerns. Very few of us have learned the art of living in the now and within the confines of a day. This morning my melancholy was soothed by the morning birds chorus as they sang out September clear and bold. This is a very beautiful time of morning. It is a gentle time as nature settles from her sleep, daylight shaking hands with darkness as it fades away and daylight keeping its promise to bring sunshine back to us once more to the morning skies. It is all a gift from our creator, powerful and wise.

Welcome and good morning to you all. The Mindful Farmer is just a little bit sad this morning and I guess you all know why. September is one of my favourite months and it will end tonight but at daybreak. We have been promised that for every day we live strength will be given to us for every sadness and difficulty so claim it and continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Saturday smile.

Sometimes we make judgments about people but we must always be true to our heart to be who we are really meant to be. What we must avoid is vanity and selfishness. People value us in various circumstances and if they love us having seen us at our best and our worst then that love should be valued beyond all things.

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is said that you have to live or spend some time with people to get to know them. I often muse on the fact that there is little in this whole world that would compensate us for the loss or diminishment of love of the people who truly love us. Sometimes we make judgments about people but we must always be true to our heart to be who we are really meant to be. What we must avoid is vanity and selfishness. Good morning everyone and welcome. As each day dawns we have no idea what it will hold for us, our family or our friends. We seldom meet a new day with joy and delight but they can unexpectedly smile on us with a sudden welcome around some old corner of our everyday life. You can journey anywhere in your soul and always find love, warmth and feeling which always embraces your body and fills your heart with a deep, deep love and appreciation. Always transfigure what is negative, distant and cold within our hearts. We will never be isolated when we know and feel the embrace of such people like Auntie Norma.

Earlier today we said goodbye to a very dear friend who had been visiting. We are all as a family blessed to have a deer and deep friend like Norma or Auntie Norma as she is affectionately called. Given the uniqueness of each one of us it should not be surprising that one of our greatest and continuous challenges is to inhabit our own individuality and to discover which life form best expresses it. Now there's a challenge for us all. Today and everyday, go live it and claim it.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Thinking back this morning I can clearly hear the voices of my parents saying "the great law of life is to be yourself". Such great care and attention went into the creation of each of us. Given the uniqueness of each one of us it should not be surprising that one of our greatest and continuous challenges is to inhabit our own individuality and to discover which life form best expresses it. Good morning everyone and welcome. It is a Monday and the beginning of yet another week and many of us tend to rush frantically into getting things done, places to go. Yes we all have to live and provide but at times during each day it is important to take a little time out to rest a while be it a cup of tea or coffee, a quiet lunch, a walk in the garden.
