The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 295

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre on day 5 of our latest lock down. This morning as I walked on the crusted, frosty grass the cold seemed unrelenting and then when I think of the Covid numbers almost at 5000, I am worried. I am worried for my family, my co workers, my friends and this beautiful country. The path that we have so painfully taken seems to have been washed away behind us and in front of us and the way forward is very concealed from us by a low fog. Many of our beautiful traditions have been lost in the past 12 months and it seems that our new life is too young to be born and birth has been delayed. We cannot lay claim to anything now so this cold and foggy morning reminds me that our eyes are blurred and we seem to be losing sight of our hearts and souls. Where do we put our trust now that we all have to make our own way in a very responsible way? The old and faithful ways will prevail. Our hearts will become more refined and true and then we welcome the arrival of a new virus free dawn. Continue to pray, bless and power healing to all who need it and follow the restrictions with honour and wear your smile.
