The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 290

Good morning and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre on day 6 of our newest lock down. For The Mindful Farmer this is a beautiful time of year. Business is quiet and maybe even quieter, the family is all around, phones not ringing and on the farm we do the minimum just feeding all the animals, bedding them and checking they are having a nice and restful time as we are. It is a time of year where most farmers and most people rest and let their minds and bodies heal. It is a time when I listen for my longing to be free and where my belonging is generous enough to let me dream. It allows us time for our inner voice to whisper to our heart and where we can find harmony between our soul and our life. It is a time that allows kindness to gaze within and in doing so reminds us never to build walls between light and ourselves. I like to allow the wild beauty that is around me on the farm and in the gardens, wild beauty of all animals and feathered birds and also of the invisible world to gather around me and embrace me in the belonging. It is beautiful to belong in this special and blessed place. It is a time of year that leaves my restful soul and heart at peace. Continue to tend your garden by prayer, blessings and healings and wear your smile.
