The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary 317

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre on day 27 of our latest lock down. This morning the neighbourhood is cold with the winter freeze but soon we will experience the death of winter and the birth of spring, but also this morning in Ballinwillin we mourn the death and passing of Joe Mulcahy our neighbour, a legend in the music business and a founding member of the famous Maurice Mulcahy Band. A band that gave huge enjoyment to thousands of people worldwide. This morning our prayers are with his family, friends and neighbours. Now destiny calls Joe to a place of music where his trumpet will sound again for all our spiritual enjoyment, where his heart will always remain generous, all heavenly doors will open to his musical light as you now quietly befriend your death and you have no need to fear. You are among your own orchestra in the big band with your pure white suit you are now equal to your destiny and nearer to Earths heart. Rest in peace Joe. Continue to pray, bless and power healing to all who need it and wear your smile.

It is very important to prepare early for spring and to feel and welcome its arrival long before those who are still hiding from winter.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. The weather has turned mild here this morning and the birds are singing louder and earlier .The buds are opening in many plants and trees. I will be busy in the garden today giving another feed to my hungry roses and other shrubs. It is very important to prepare early for spring and to feel and welcome its arrival long before those who are still hiding from winter. Today let us all bless the imagination of the earth and look forward to the excitement of the forthcoming seasons. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all and wear your Thursday smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1045

I was being swept in a cultural voyage to places where I could take sheer delight in being myself and I felt confident about my place in this area and in this world and deeply in touch with Mother Earth and nature and the people.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to the view from The Mindful Farmers window of wonder. I see a rugged landscape, rocks weeping with the misty rain. I see the dark brown bracken turning to a dark red with the winter January cold and rain and then the door opens and a few neighbours arrive blustering in our native tongue. Suddenly the house feels warm and I am being swept in a cultural voyage to places where I could take sheer delight in being myself and I felt confident about my place in this area and in this world and deeply in touch with Mother Earth and nature and the people. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all and wear your Wednesday smile.

We all make mistakes but it is how we handle them and make good that makes the difference.

Good morning everyone and welcome to The Mindful Farmers daily blog. It is true when people say that they will never forget today and that was my situation yesterday. When I arrived home I noticed that our water pipe and sewage pipes had been dug up by a contractor on a nearby site and left it unattended. Eventually with the help of good neighbours we traced the contractor and he got his team to return and fix it all. It was a very stressful day but the nice kind men who came back to fix the problems were wonderful, pleasant, knowledgeable and kind hearted and I am very grateful. We all make mistakes but it is how we handle them and make good that makes the difference. It reminds me very strongly that no day belongs to us. Kindness always casts a different light even from a very deep place and will transform and illuminate any problem to a rich and beautiful difference. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all and wear your Tuesday smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1043

So, on this Monday, let us all feel the earth and nature breathing with us and let us walk upon the earth with all the confidence that dwells in us and with clear eyed stillness.

Good morning everyone and welcome to the view from my window of wonder. This morning my view was two baby rabbits peeping out from under the hedge and then hurrying back in as Marley, our golden retriever, set his beady eyes on them. They have no need to worry as Marley has given up hurrying. He now takes his time and enjoys his peaceful life. Gone are the days of him chasing after anything that moves. It's a bit like that with us all isn't it? Only when we take time for silence, peace and prayer that we give ourselves a chance to remember who we really are and what this life is all about. Animals can teach us a lot if we observe. So, on this Monday, let us all feel the earth and nature breathing with us and let us walk upon the earth with all the confidence that dwells in us and with clear eyed stillness. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all and wear your Monday smile.

As long as the birds sing we will always have joy in our hearts and isn't that the best that life can bring?

Good morning and welcome. The best way to describe this mild, damp Sunday morning is in the garden with peace and listening to the lucid melody of the bird family and as the song goes "all God's creatures have a place in the choir" and that is echoed here this morning. As long as the birds sing we will always have joy in our hearts and isn't that the best that life can bring? The bird chorus never loses its careless courage to perform and the same applies to us all. We should never let the world or outside forces dampen or cause us to lose our careless courage. Continue to pray. bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all and wear your Sunday best smile.

“The love of precious things is to be at home.”

Good morning and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. On a peaceful morning such as this Saturday morning I think of the time when I worked in Dublin. A big, busy city that is now even bigger and busier and is marked and scared by traffic, noise and pollution. It was and is an explosive urban economy. Now I give thanks daily for my peaceful life on the farm and in the gardens. It was a complete source of renewal and being here at home. Grand Uncle Jack used to say "the love of precious things is to be at home." When we are at home we have the eyes to see that no visitor arrives without a gift and no guest leaves without a blessing. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, love, hope and happiness to all and wear your Saturday smile.

My message for you all today is to live radiantly and let nothing dampen your peace with God.

Good morning everyone and welcome. This morning as I look through my window of wonder the entire outside world is crispy, crinkled and frosted like a fairyland as the morning sunrise illuminates the magic of my surroundings, everything, everywhere so peaceful and this morning's landscape showers peace into the pool of my mind. I feel so blessed and I am so grateful to receive this gift of nature from God. I feel the gift of light shining all around me. My message for you all today is to live radiantly and let nothing dampen your peace with God. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all and wear your Friday smile.

This beauty, this music, especially for me to enjoy and I know I am going to have a great day and I thank God for it.

Good morning everyone and welcome to another very cold morning. It is minus 4 today and when I look out my window of wonder this morning I see the snowflakes fluttering down and the white carpet on the grass and on the driveway. The animals all have a blanket of white on their backs but the stand out feature for me this morning was the team of robin red breasts feeding on the bird tables and singing happily as they fluttered around competing for food. This beauty, this music, especially for me to enjoy and I know I am going to have a great day and I thank God for it. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all and wear your Thursday smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1038

Water is vital to all our lives and really water is the mother and vehicle of our life.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. Another very cold morning here. It is minus 5 degrees at 6am. We have no cold water running in any of our outside taps. They are all frozen. It is a big job ahead for the day drawing water to all the animals but the cold weather will eventually leave us and the water we take for granted will flow again. Water is vital to all our lives and really water is the mother and vehicle of our life. The human body is over 80% water. The fertility of an earth depends on water. It is used in the sacraments to bless and transformation. Water is used in many forms of blessings, on people, vehicles, animals and so on but what I like about water or blessed water is that it has a power to protect us from evil in a way that no evil would enter a circle of Holy water. If you don't have a Holy water font in your house please get one. It is amazing the powerful effect it will have on all either in the house or those coming and going. Believe in the power of blessings, that circle of protection. The loss of our rituals will leave us lost, alone and unknown. Continue to bless, bless, bless. That is the Mindful Farmers message for today.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1037

It is a perfect January day. The land and the gardens are frozen. It is a winter land here today and there is no growth but as we know all progress and growth comes from deep within and cannot be forced or hurried.

Good morning everyone and welcome to a beautiful crisp morning here at Ballinwillin. It is minus 4 degrees but it is fresh and healthy. It is a perfect January day. The land and the gardens are frozen. It is a winter land here today and there is no growth but as we know all progress and growth comes from deep within and cannot be forced or hurried. Everything is in gestation and then we will have growth and gestation when the soil warms up. It is much similar in our hearts when we make room for the transforming power of love to slowly grow within it and then radiate through us. It is a very beautiful and powerful feeling. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all and wear your Tuesday smile.

I reminded myself that to be born is to be chosen. The creator of any individual is a divine masterpiece so from today onwards lets all respect each other's masterpiece.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Garden and RetrEat centre. Earlier I was on Facetime with my two grandchildren in Melbourne. They were full of glee and sent me kisses and hugs. It was magical and I thought to myself these two little darlings were not around a few years ago and now what joy. I reminded myself that to be born is to be chosen. The creator of any individual is a divine masterpiece so from today onwards lets all respect each other's masterpiece. I sat in silence for about twenty minutes saying my morning ritual of pray, thanksgiving and just being me, a quiet, still me and for me this is what I need to be, who I am meant to be, surrounded by all these beautiful creatures.

Good morning everyone and welcome to another beautiful Sunday. Earlier this morning I sat in silence in the garden. I find it very therapeutic and peaceful and I wasn't there too long when I was joined by a host of robins dancing, looking and probing through the fresh soil I had exposed yesterday. Then a beautiful hen pheasant came along soon to be followed by a cock pheasant and then a bunny rabbit appeared first peeping his head out from the bushes and then bounced nearer as his confidence grew, I sat in silence for about twenty minutes saying my morning ritual of pray, thanksgiving and just being me, a quiet, still me and for me this is what I need to be, who I am meant to be, surrounded by all these beautiful creatures. They don't chat, they mind their own business but quite often they stop and gaze in my direction with a wonderful understanding of our shared peace and reminding me that I am not alone yet fully understood. Have a wonderful Sunday.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1034

We all want our houses to feel like home but when they feel like home to other people then we know we have done something special.

Good morning everyone and welcome. This morning during breakfast we had some neighbours visit. A short break from their morning walk. Immediately on entering one of the ladies, a dear friend, made straight for the kettle and asked if anybody else would like a cuppa. The tea was served, the chat began, the morning flew and before we noticed it was 11.40am. Then our visitors got up and before they went on their merry way one of them said "you know, we all want our houses to feel like home but when they feel like home to other people then we know we have done something special." Well that little remark of kindness and thoughtfulness certainly filled my heart with light and I thought what a wonderful spiritual notion of very special people we all can be. Well today is the perfect way to begin. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all and wear your Saturday smile.

At the beginning of every day I firstly give thanks for the gift of the day, thanks for the miracle of health and thanks for the embracing arms of the Lord, the guard, guide, protect me, my family and friends and recognising that each day is a precious, unrepeatable gift.

Good morning everyone and welcome. At the beginning of every day I firstly give thanks for the gift of the day, thanks for the miracle of health and thanks for the embracing arms of the Lord, the guard, guide, protect me, my family and friends and recognising that each day is a precious, unrepeatable gift. A life lived close to God will never be dull or predictable. It may bring some surprises but no matter how steep the path before us the safe place is side by side with God and He will bring us safely home. I reflect on the words of Emily Dickinson's poem -

Hope is the thing with feathers

That perches in the soul

and sings the tune without the words

and never stops at all.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Since the beginning of the year I have tried to do a little in the garden each day but the weather has made it very difficult as it is very wet and cold. Nonetheless I still keep trying and one of my first jobs is to continue getting the thinking path ready and looking beautiful and as I go along I have my areas where I put out bird feed and suddenly out of nowhere an array of species surround me. It is a wonderful and wholesome experience to think that I have this wonderful companionship all around me and I reflect on the words of Emily Dickinson's poem -

Hope is the thing with feathers

That perches in the soul

and sings the tune without the words

and never stops at all.

Now four little lines and all these small little birds give us a lot to think about today and for me it is about nature, beauty, happiness and unconditional love.

Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all who need it and wear your Thursday smile.

The more often we can watch the breath the more familiar we become with it, the more powerful, relaxed and happy we will be. Remember, it is your anchor, use it often and practice.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. This morning by request I am going to talk about the power of breathing and the power of the breath. The first thing to point out is that the breath is always with us until death. It is always changing and easy to get our attention. It reflects our state of mind and body and it is a great source of feedback on how we feel at any one time. It is easy to feel its physical presence as it enters and leaves the body. The breath acts as our anchor, a place to come back to when our attention wanders. The most important function of the breath in my opinion is when we take deep breaths in times of stress or being challenged. The more often we can watch the breath the more familiar we become with it, the more powerful, relaxed and happy we will be. Remember, it is your anchor, use it often and practice. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all who need it and wear your Wednesday smile.

When we develop a listening ear and mind we become more centered, more focused and in that way we can deepen our powers to heal and to help other people. It is very rewarding.

Yesterday I had a very interesting visitor here at Ballinwillin House and after breakfast he asked me would I mind going for a walk around the gardens and the thinking path. I agreed and off we went. Now, when someone asks for company in the privacy it means only one thing. They want someone to listen to them and someone they can trust. I listened and listened until they ran out of talk. He thanked me and went on his way. When we develop a listening ear and mind we become more centered, more focused and in that way we can deepen our powers to heal and to help other people. It is very rewarding. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all who need it and wear your Tuesday smile.

Hope is that golden card connecting us to heaven.

Good morning everyone and welcome. This is the beginning of another week and early in the new year and for most people their first day back to work. So today and for the rest of the year my message is of hope. Hope in God and when you do so you will be protected from depression and self pity. Hope is that golden card connecting us to heaven. The more we cling to this cord the more God will bear the weight of our burdens and lighten the weight on our body and minds. All we need to do then is wait for the light to come streaming through the clouds. Have a lovely, peaceful, mindful day and continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all and wear your Monday smile.

my message always in a quiet and sympathetic way is that in times of ailment the body will heal itself especially if you believe and if you live in and with nature

Good morning everyone and welcome. Today I am meeting with people who are bearing much pain both physical and mental and my message always is in a quiet and sympathetic way is that in times of ailment the body will heal itself especially if you believe and if you live in and with nature and when you feed the mind with such words as be strong, be of good courage, the message will filter through and healing will begin. When the mind shines a light on any subject wonderful and amazing things will happen. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope, love and happiness to all and wear your Sunday best smile.

If we don't take time to be still, if we cannot come to ourselves in silence then we lose our power to imagine and if we lose our power to imagine

Good morning everyone and welcome to a Conemara stormy morning and as I look through my window of wonder I see the sea raging at the rocks retreating and then raging on and on. What beauty. What wildness and I as so lucky to witness this cinemascape of activity from my window as I sit in silence and in peace. If we don't take time to be still, if we cannot come to ourselves in silence then we lose our power to imagine and if we lose our power to imagine and if we cannot dream then we will never be able to realise what we desire. These scenes from Mother Natures creative heart are for us all to appreciate and to give us the inspiration to be who we are meant to be and live the life that we would love and waste our hearts on fear no more. Continue to pray, to be inspired by Mother Nature and she will lead us all along that beautiful nature trail that she marks out for us every day and the healing will come by living with her.
