The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary 317

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre on day 27 of our latest lock down. This morning the neighbourhood is cold with the winter freeze but soon we will experience the death of winter and the birth of spring, but also this morning in Ballinwillin we mourn the death and passing of Joe Mulcahy our neighbour, a legend in the music business and a founding member of the famous Maurice Mulcahy Band. A band that gave huge enjoyment to thousands of people worldwide. This morning our prayers are with his family, friends and neighbours. Now destiny calls Joe to a place of music where his trumpet will sound again for all our spiritual enjoyment, where his heart will always remain generous, all heavenly doors will open to his musical light as you now quietly befriend your death and you have no need to fear. You are among your own orchestra in the big band with your pure white suit you are now equal to your destiny and nearer to Earths heart. Rest in peace Joe. Continue to pray, bless and power healing to all who need it and wear your smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1146

The day started beautifully with the dawn chorus as the sunrise began to open its eyes to a new day. I am very grateful and thankful today for a beautiful and successful week of RetrEats and all the wonderful people that attended and left with great memories and fortitude for their time ahead.

Good morning everyone and welcome to a beautiful morning in The Mindful Farmers life. The day started beautifully with the dawn chorus as the sunrise began to open its eyes to a new day. I am very grateful and thankful today for a beautiful and successful week of RetrEats and all the wonderful people that attended and left with great memories and fortitude for their time ahead. These months and moments bring great joy and the freshness of spring gives way to the beauty of summer. It is a time when we can store up the joy, the beauty and freshness in our hearts and store it for when we need it most. It is also an opportunity for us to share this beauty with our family and friends and shower blessings on them. So, for the day and weekend, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Saturday smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1145

Something deep in the human soul seems to depend on the presence of kindness. When someone is kind to you, you feel understood and you feel seen. Kindness has a gracious eye. So, for today and this weekend, cast a light of kindness on all you come into contact with and feel that warmth.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. Today is the final day in our RetrEat week and what a wonderful week it was. A topic that kept repeating itself all week was "kindness" and we all agree that kindness spreads in unexpected ways. Something deep in the human soul seems to depend on the presence of kindness. When someone is kind to you, you feel understood and you feel seen. Kindness has a gracious eye. So, for today and this weekend, cast a light of kindness on all you come into contact with and feel that warmth. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your kind smile.

Passion and belief will open the wings of the heart again and a subtle radience and deeper love will bring back colour and force. There are days when weight can deaden our shoulders and we may stumble but the clay will dance with us to balance us. We must believe that God and Mother Nature is holding our hand.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. It is day 4 in our RetrEat week and we are getting feed back and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. Many people in life suffer from broken trust but dignity will always hold trust and torn ground is ideal for seed and it can root disappointment deep enough to yield a harvest that cannot wither. Passion and belief will open the wings of the heart again and a subtle radiance and deeper love will bring back colour and force. There are days when weight can deaden our shoulders and we may stumble but the clay will dance with us to balance us. We must believe that God and Mother Nature is holding our hand. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Thursday smile.

When I was growing up the parish would place ribbons on the hawthorn bush (May tree) and ask for particular blessings. Then there would be a festival of music and dancing and feasting and the spreading of Holy or blessed water. We still continue that practice here on the farm although in a much quieter manner but it still has the very same meaning for me and my family.

This was always a very special day in Ireland in years gone by and still is in Ballinwillin. It is a day when we celebrate the arrival of summer, warmer days, blooming flowers and above all, fresh beginnings. A special day of blessings which I wish on all of you today and we all have that power to bless so use it and power healing to all who need it.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1140

You can undergo any voyage if your destination is home. Humble or grand, home is where your heart belongs. When home is a place of shelter and love and warmth well then the old saying is true "there is no place like home".

Yesterday The Mindful Farmer was trying to clear out an old shed but I had to abandon my mission. Why? There were nests of swallows in the rafters and they kept flying low over my head and making unwelcome noises. I thought about this for a while and said to myself "Paddy, you will have to wait until they depart and their young are reared." I should have known that they return to our country, the same shed every year after enduring such a continental journey and then build their nest, their home, from grass and mud and this tells me very clearly you can undergo any voyage if your destination is home. Humble or grand, home is where your heart belongs. When home is a place of shelter and love and warmth well then the old saying is true "there is no place like home". Sweet words indeed, so, today, on this last Sunday in April, sit for a while and appreciate your home and all who dqwll there and power blessings and healing  and love to all and wear your Sunday smile.

Some people travel the world looking for peace and contentment, others will fond it in their home, others on top of a mountain. I find it everywhere but especially in nature.

Good morning everyone and welcome to The Mindful Farmers thoughts for this day. Last evening I was asked by a person what is contentment and how do I find it. My reply was easy for me and I replied as follows. It is all around us but we must be aware and in peace to receive it. Some people travel the world looking for peace and contentment, others will find it in their home, others on top of a mountain. I find it everywhere but especially in nature. We see what we want to see but I believe heaven is within us all. Contentment is ours to lose or find. Have a beautiful, restful, mindful, contented day and continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Saturday smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1138

The ocean and rivers flow fiercely in sequence, the trees hold firm in the wind, the dark grey mountains stand still in respect and the breath of magic light over all of us awakens colour all around.

Good morning everyone and welcome. The past month has been a lot of travelling across the length and breath of Ireland and sympathising with families and friends of loved ones who have passed on to their heavenly homes. In all of these cases it was celebrating long and well lived lives. Yesterday I was in Leitrim sympathising with a very dear, loyal and trusted friend who lost her brother last week at 88 years. At that age it is always a celebration of life but at the same time hard on his nearest and friends. What always comes to mind on such long drives is how these people lived their lives, where they were born, went to school, travelled, their livelihoods, their retirement and now death. While I am thinking all this as I traverse the beautiful countryside of ours it is as if they are travelling with me and in my mind and appreciating the outstanding beauty all around. It is as if they are saying we are at peace and that their stillness is wed to nature. The ocean and rivers flow fiercely in sequence, the trees hold firm in the wind, the dark grey mountains stand still in respect and the breath of magic light over all of us awakens colour all around. I could go on and on about this amazing feeling in my heart and I know for sure that this beauty will sleep easily in all their hearts. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Friday smile.

Recently a few of my very close friends have experienced illness and trauma in their lives and today I ask my followers to pray with me for their recovery and that they will use this difficult time as a lantern to illuminate new qualities in their life so that they can keep faith with their bodies, their minds, their heart and their soul.

Good morning everyone and welcome to the thoughts of The Mindful Farmer. Recently a few of my very close friends have experienced illness and trauma in their lives and today I ask my followers to pray with me for their recovery and that they will use this difficult time as a lantern to illuminate new qualities in their life so that they can keep faith with their bodies, their minds, their heart and their soul. Through faith and prayer a new light will clear a path through the fog of old unease and anxiety and pain and you will find peace and tranquility beautiful enough to still this storm of illness. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1136

It is up to our generation and future generations to bless the imagination of the earth, to salute its silence and certainty and above all its humility. It is my prayer for this spring that the earth will renew its trust in the intention of the farmer's hand, opening it, softening it into a domain of shelter and nourishment

The Mindful Farmer is very happy and excited because yesterday we reseeded three paddocks on the farm with a new multi species grass mixture, one that incorporates grasses, red clover, white clover, plantain, chicory and timothy grasses. When germinated they will give great colour and fragrance to the fields and will be of great benefit to biodiversity. When I was a child this was the type of grass we grew and our forefathers grew. My Dad used to say "you can't put the cows into the field yet, there isn't enough colour in it." What have we learnt about the basics of farming and nature over the past seven decades? It would appear very little but at least now farmers are beginning to work more with Mother Nature. It is up to our generation and future generations to bless the imagination of the earth, to salute its silence and certainty and above all its humility. It is my prayer for this spring that the earth will renew its trust in the intention of the farmer's hand, opening it, softening it into a domain of shelter and nourishment and continuing to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Wednesday smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1135

“When we choose to believe in dreams we disconnect ourselves from the revitalising energy of our life force, which is love. Shutting the door on our dreams is like turning out the lights of life, love and hope. Faith consists in believing what reason does not believe. It is not always enough that a thing may be possible for it to be believed. It is up to us to live by faith and not by sight.”

Good morning everyone and welcome. Last evening I was in the company of a group of teenagers and we were chatting about life in general, collage etc and one of them asked me if I believed in dreams and of course my answer was "yes". This was quickly followed by the question "why?" and my answer was "when we cease to believe in dreams we disconnect ourselves from the revitalising energy of our life force which is love. Shutting the door on our dreams is like turning out the lights of life, love and hope. Faith consists in believing what reason does not believe. It is not always enough that a thing may be possible for it to be believed. It is up to us to live by faith and not by sight." Now these young people have gone away with a lot to think about from just asking a simple question about dreams. So, dream on and continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Tuesday smile.

I often look out my office window and watch the sun go down in its pink splendour. I find this very soothing and think this is Mother Nature being kind to me and softening my heart and reminding me that to be here is immense. So, on this Monday morning, be kind, be thoughtful and make someone's day.

Good morning everyone and welcome to another new week and today I am going to talk about kindness. I received a beautiful gift from a very kind young man yesterday. A quiet fellow, not many words but full of kindness. When someone is kind to you, you feel understood and seen and valued. Kindness always has a most gracious eye. It casts a different light, a soft evening type of light that has depth of colour and patience to illuminate what is complex and rich in difference. I often look out my office window and watch the sun go down in its pink splendour. I find this very soothing and think this is Mother Nature being kind to me and softening my heart and reminding me that to be here is immense. So, on this Monday morning, be kind, be thoughtful and make someone's day. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Monday smile.

When they were with us here on earth their hard work and love for us inspired me to create these Gardens and now they wrap in weave after weave of blessings. Time behaves differently when blessings are involved.

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. It is another beautiful day here and another beautiful Sunday. Earlier this morning I was in the gardens and around The Thinking Path as our week long RetrEat is looming. I was checking the state of affairs for this great event and I noticed two things that needed attention and updating. On The Thinking Path I have a sigh stating that the Gardens and The Thinking Path are devoted to my Mam and Dad and Miriam's Mam who have passed away and a sadness came over me as Miriam's Dad passed away recently and must be added to this list and signage. These are four great people who have inspired me over the years, guided me and above all gave me all their love and protection but now they are in a place where they behold us now in ways they never could when they were here on earth with us. That is because they live nearer the source of destiny and their blessings, mindings and love for us are more accurate and penetrating. When they were with us here on earth their hard work and love for us inspired me to create these Gardens and now they wrap in weave after weave of blessings. Time behaves differently when blessings are involved. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Sunday best smile.

God's hand will always grip tight and guide us. His gaze is always perfect, His kindness always dwells in His beautiful hands for our open hearts.

Good morning everyone and welcome to The Mindful Farmers view from his window of wonder on this Saturday morning. The harmony in the spring garden reflects that eternal peace we long for. Hope which is being aware of our immortality and accepting it. Hope believes all especially beauty and meaning in our life right up to the last moment and when we relax and let go, hope will expand out. God's hand will always grip tight and guide us. His gaze is always perfect, His kindness always dwells in His beautiful hands for our open hearts. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Saturday smile.

May we all have the courage to live today as a miracle, to live the life that we would love, to postpone our dreams no longer but to do as last what we came here for and waste our hearts on fear no more.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Another beautiful sunny morning this morning. I feel we have two possibilities in life, only two ways to live our lives. One is as though nothing is a miracle and the other is as though everything is a miracle. I always go with the latter especially on this beautiful morning. May we all have the courage to live today as a miracle, to live the life that we would love, to postpone our dreams no longer but to do as last what we came here for and waste our hearts on fear no more. We must be the things that we see, we must get to know and appreciate the sea, trees, flowers, shrubs, the colour of the sky and the sound of the ocean. We must enter into the silences between all and above all. We must take our time and touch the very peace they come from. We must be in love with nature and when we do we will not be asleep to its beauty and healing powers.

Good morning everyone and welcome to The Mindful Farmers window of wonder on this very beautiful Thursday morning. When I look at all the amazing beauty that surrounds me here today, to say that I see spring everywhere is not nearly enough. To really see and appreciate beauty we need to look at it for a long time. We must be the things that we see, we must get to know and appreciate the sea, trees, flowers, shrubs, the colour of the sky and the sound of the ocean. We must enter into the silences between all and above all. We must take our time and touch the very peace they come from. I always find that the new day will provide enough joy and fulfillment for us all to find our own place in the beautiful world if we are open to it.

Good morning everyone and welcome to The Mindful Farmers view from his window of wonder on this very beautiful Wednesday morning. As I look across the vast expanse of ocean I take a deep breath and ask myself the question "what does this new day mean to me?" Is it a leftover from yesterday or do I go forward full of life, happiness and trust? I always find that the new day will provide enough joy and fulfillment for us all to find our own place in the beautiful world if we are open to it. Each new day opens up for us an ocean of brightness and fluency that can transform our fragments into a sacred place where dignity provides. On this very beautiful and sunny Tuesday morning live with the rhythm of nature as she teaches us to take ourselves lightly and enjoy the magnitude, power and beauty that she exudes on days like this. Take time today to welcome its wonder and magic and may all this is unlived in us blossom into the future.

Good morning everyone and welcome to my view at the ocean's edge. As I sit here this morning listening to the ocean and the cuckoo bird making that unique and beautiful statement in the distance I think to myself we all wait with hope and when we relax and surrender to the waiting time and tide no longer pushes against us and we move gracefully in our waiting and listening. On this very beautiful and sunny Tuesday morning live with the rhythm of nature as she teaches us to take ourselves lightly and enjoy the magnitude, power and beauty that she exudes on days like this. The tree is my friend and companion, sheltering me and providing me with clean, fresh oxygen, in fact eleven litres per minute. How amazing is that and the experience I feel is the massive, creative power in front of me in its peaceful form, in its sheltering and protective form. It is here I learn the "Art of peace" and to "hear and listen to the words of silence".

Good morning everyone and welcome. Today I found myself up early and sitting this time in front of a very old tree, sitting in silence and peace. The tree is my friend and companion, sheltering me and providing me with clean, fresh oxygen, in fact eleven litres per minute. How amazing is that and the experience I feel is the massive, creative power in front of me in its peaceful form, in its sheltering and protective form.
