The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary 317

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre on day 27 of our latest lock down. This morning the neighbourhood is cold with the winter freeze but soon we will experience the death of winter and the birth of spring, but also this morning in Ballinwillin we mourn the death and passing of Joe Mulcahy our neighbour, a legend in the music business and a founding member of the famous Maurice Mulcahy Band. A band that gave huge enjoyment to thousands of people worldwide. This morning our prayers are with his family, friends and neighbours. Now destiny calls Joe to a place of music where his trumpet will sound again for all our spiritual enjoyment, where his heart will always remain generous, all heavenly doors will open to his musical light as you now quietly befriend your death and you have no need to fear. You are among your own orchestra in the big band with your pure white suit you are now equal to your destiny and nearer to Earths heart. Rest in peace Joe. Continue to pray, bless and power healing to all who need it and wear your smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 586

When we come in close contact with people in pain they can tell us the truth, they can lead us to compassion, patience, kindness and they can call us to be our true selves.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. As I look out my window of wonder on this beautiful Friday morning I am thinking about a conversation I had yesterday with an amazing man. He is in his late 70's, had a great life up to his 40's. His business ran into trouble, the banks sold all his assets and home, he separated from his wife, family in disarray and he hit the drink for comfort. He became homeless by 50 and spent 5 years wandering the country and streets until a friend recognised him. This friend gave him shelter, helped him beat the booze, he went back to college to study law and is now practicing and is very happy, reunited with his wife and family. He said to me that it is impossible for people who have good lives and are in control to suddenly lose control and lose everything. The lesson for us all and I often quote it "but for the grace of God there go I". When we come in close contact with people in pain they can tell us the truth, they can lead us to compassion, patience, kindness and they can call us to be our true selves. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and health to all who need it and wear your Friday smile.

When breakfast was over I sat for a while looking into a nice glowing fire and thought a little bit about his reply. Don't we all have a choice how we wear our troubles and the choice to wear them with a little more style? His remarks warmed me just like the glowing fire.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. This morning in the bed and breakfast we encountered a very interesting man in the midst of others. A very busy man with a very important job. He came rubbing his hands vigorously and was smiling like a morning sunrise. I was immediately prompted to say to him "you look a very happy man this morning, a man with no troubles". He looked at me quickly and replied "do I really?" He then went on to say that we all have some troubles, maybe he just wears his with a little more style. When breakfast was over I sat for a while looking into a nice glowing fire and thought a little bit about his reply. Don't we all have a choice how we wear our troubles and the choice to wear them with a little more style? His remarks warmed me just like the glowing fire. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, health and peace to all who need it and wear your smile.

every new day brings us a chance to enjoy this 24 hours while it is still ours and be the flower that blooms in everyone's face and heart.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. I was asked last evening by a very good friend, when the right time to enjoy life is. Is there a right time? A wrong time? I replied instantly and said that yes, there is a right time and that that time is now. It is always now. I refer back again to my Granduncle Jack who lived every day of his life as if it was his last, full of joy, energy and happiness. Jack passed away at 98 years of age and he certainly lived life to the brim. We can all follow Jacks example and start living today. You know, every new day brings us a chance to enjoy this 24 hours while it is still ours and be the flower that blooms in everyone's face and heart. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace and health to all who need it and wear your Wednesday smile.

we can all play our part by praying, healing, being mindful and caring and power healing and blessings on all who need them. You, me and everyone out there can play our part and be healing leaders.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. The people who listen to my daily blog and follow me regularly may think that I am a very religious person. Partly yes but I am more of a deeply spiritual person full of positivity. Religion is widely misunderstood all over the world, the word itself comes from the latin word religare which means "bind together". It was meant to bring good hearted, well meaning people from all over the world together. To bring together and heal the brokenness in the world and to support the body of mankind. From today on we can all play our part by praying, healing, being mindful and caring and power healing and blessings on all who need them. You, me and everyone out there can play our part and be healing leaders. Have a beautiful, mindful, caring Tuesday and wear your smile.

I look out my window of wonder this morning I give thanks again for all that I am lucky enough to have in this life, family, friends, a beautiful place to live, good health and much more.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre. During the past while many people have been speaking to me about anxiety and as I look out my window of wonder this morning I give thanks again for all that I am lucky enough to have in this life, family, friends, a beautiful place to live, good health and much more. I live for this moment and day. It is when we look too much into the future that we give rise to anxiety and looking too far ahead without bringing God on the journey with you. So for today, just do these few simple things 1) do not linger in the future 2) live in the now in the presence of happiness, love and support of God and all around you. Continue to pray, bless, power heal and peace to all who need it and wear your smile.

It is a day of reflection, peace and quiet. It is a time for God to embrace, bless, guard and guide us all and fill our hearts and souls with the energy and wisdom to begin another great week tomorrow.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to The Mindful Farmers daily blog. Another beautiful Sunday here on the farm and gardens. This beautiful Autumn, dazzling sun is illuminating the Autumn leaves as they quiver towards the earth to begin another cycle. It is easy to understand the invitation of the human eye to bless all it sees on days like this, especially on a Sunday as it is a day of reflection, peace and quiet. It is a time for God to embrace, bless, guard and guide us all and fill our hearts and souls with the energy and wisdom to begin another great week tomorrow. For today, it is a time to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Sunday best smile.

I notice that Autumn has really arrived. It really is a beautiful time of year. Seeds that were sown in Spring, nurtured during the Summer now yields their fruit in Autumn.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to The Mindful Farmers daily blog. The Mindful Farmer is back in Ballinwillin this morning and I notice that Autumn has really arrived. It really is a beautiful time of year. Seeds that were sown in Spring, nurtured during the Summer now yields their fruit in Autumn. Harvest time is a great feasting time and is very important to our Celtic culture where the fertility of the earth yields its fruitfulness. It resembles our life a lot when the tasks and experiences of our life that were sown in our clay heart and sometimes unknown to us now should be yielding fruit. Autumn time in our lives should also be a time of great enjoyment and harvesting and can be a great time of inner strength, poise and confidence. It can be a time to look back through your window of wonder and your mind rolls back the memories, the days that have passed, the memories rolled out oblivious to the strangers who have no reason to look in. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Saturday smile.

Great friends rest easy on each other". What a beautiful saying and what beautiful advice.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to The Mindful Farmers daily blog. Late last evening I received a phone call from a very dear friend informing me of the passing of another dear friend and a wonderful woman who has done so much good for other people in her shortish life. A friend is one who wishes good for the other. We are all very complex individuals and our sacred interiarity is mirrored and fulfilled in the discovery and actions of friendship. Our feelings towards our friends reflect our feelings towards ourselves. Patience, kindness and time is required to develop a real friendship. Nobody would choose to live without friends even if we had all the other great things in life. A great friend of ours in Connemara said to me years ago "great friends rest easy on each other". What a beautiful saying and what beautiful advice. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Friday smile.

Our time is there waiting to be nourished and welcomed. Each day we are offered new possibilities and promises that were never seen before. It is our duty and honour to engage in each new day and its possibilities to live it to the fullest. Each day is so different. The world of the past days are gone.

Good afternoon everyone and welcome once more to The Mindful Farmers daily blog. When I meditated this morning and looked out my window of wonder, I again gave thanks for this new day. Each new day is so precious because each day is a small part of our whole life. Each day we are offered new possibilities and promises that were never seen before. It is our duty and honour to engage in each new day and its possibilities to live it to the fullest. Each day is so different. The world of the past days are gone. Our celtic ancestors always took a new day as a whole new beginning and they never entered a new day with a deadening beginning. So too must we behave and live life in the form of a new day to the fullest, live it in the now. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your smile.

The Celts, our people, had a flourishing, spiritual way of living. Yes, they believed in the divine God but they also found diversity all around them in the rivers, hills, seas and sky and in animal life The Mindful Farmer still lives this spiritual way of life and would encourage everyone out there to do likewise.

Good morning everyone and welcome back to The Mindful Farmers daily blog. This morning as I look out my window of wonder my mind takes me on a spiritual journey towards our ancient race of Celtic people, a people that had existed for thousands of years before St. Patrick came here in the fifth century. It will reveal treasures hidden deep within your soul and will lead you to a place where your heart can be healed and nourished. You must store all within your heart and soul to share with whoever needs some. We must all draw close to the light within ourselves and seek no other shelter.

Good morning everyone and welcome back to The Mindful Farmers daily blog.

Another question I was asked recently is "what makes a person wise?" That is a very wide ranging question. The only way I can answer it is from my own life experience and firstly let me state that I don't think of myself as wise. I believe that if we know who we really are - that is the first step. Then, if we amass our life experiences, accept what life has given us, the people we have met, the ups, the downs, dying and birthing, joys and sorrows and then if we arrive with inner peace in the midst of all the agitation, struggle and disorder, then you are well on your way to passing the exam of wisdom. You must then store all within your heart and soul to share with whoever needs some. We must all draw close to the light within ourselves and seek no other shelter. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it on this beautiful Sunday and wear your peaceful Sunday smile.

The wonder that we experience as a child stays with us forever if we listen to it. It beats with our heart and is very deep, so deep we can draw on its treasures all our life.

Good morning everyone and welcome back to The Mindful Farmers daily blog. As a child, I grew up in a wonderful, very rural area of west Limerick. In the evening, after milking the cows, I would walk up to the fields with the cows and then sit on the bank of the river that ran through the land. I would rest, dream and pray and I still do this as mindfulness. I remember back to when I was light years old when I began this process. Most of what I dreamt about and prayed for has come through in a great life and that is why I often refer to "looking at the world with childlike wonder". The wonder that we experience as a child stays with us forever if we listen to it. It beats with our heart and is very deep, so deep we can draw on its treasures all our life. I marvel when I hold the hands of my little grandchildren and watch them dream as they walk along with me on the farm. We often sit and rest and I watch them speak in silence as we share these precious moments of "unconditional love". I wonder what dreams they are making with their "childlike wonder". This is a short reply to a very beautiful question and I could write pages on it but that's enough for now. as I continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your Saturday smile.

When you have pain or great weight in your life it is wise to seek sanctuary in the shelter of your soul. Very soon there will be a beautiful transition in nature and one single flower will bloom.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to The Mindful Farmers daily blog. Today, The Mindful Farmer feels like it is winter time in his soul and it has come out of nowhere. It happens occasionally, and when it does I withdraw into myself and rest. It is not wise at this time to pressure any new endeavours. This is nature's remedy. Then it will be springtime everywhere again. Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your smile.

Kindness in words creates healing and confidence all around us

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to The Mindful Farmers daily blog. Yesterday, while on my travels, I met up with some old friends, some I hadn't met for nearly three years. Their welcome and kindness was overpowering. Some of these people have lost loved ones during Covid, lost their jobs, their livelihoods and yet their kindness for The Mindful Farmer was profound despite their very difficult situations. I thought to myself afterwards "kindness in words creates healing and confidence all around us". In our modern, busy worlds, share kind thoughts with those around you. I appreciate that it may not be easy all of the time but would it be a practice worth acquiring? Continue to pray, bless, power healing and peace to all who need it and wear your smile.

we all agreed that we all take time to have regular checks on our cars, on other aspects of our health but few of us spend time "servicing" our minds.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to The Mindful Farmers daily blog. Last evening in the company of friends, most of whom meditate daily and some who are physiologists, we all agreed that we all take time to have regular checks on our cars, on other aspects of our health but few of us spend time "servicing" our minds. Paying attention to peace and rest away from the noise of the modern world is very important. The health and well being of the people of the world can be measured according to their harmony with nature. The earth and air have penetrating strength; we just need to draw from it with deep, deep breaths and accept its power. I realise how grateful we should be to nature, Mother Nature and God for the abundance that pours into our fields, harvest after harvest, given that we are all consumed in our technological age. We must always remember that we are still dependent on the bounty of Mother Earth and our creator.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to The Mindful Farmers daily blog. As I make my way across the plains of Europe and I watch the families and communities tending to their crops and animals and some singing in the valleys and their straw hats mushrooming in the sunshine I realise how grateful we should be to nature, Mother Nature and God for the abundance that pours into our fields, harvest after harvest, given that we are all consumed in our technological age. We must always remember that we are still dependent on the bounty of Mother Earth and our creator. The humble bumble bee is as mighty as the destructive bomb.
