The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary 317

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, gardens and RetrEat centre on day 27 of our latest lock down. This morning the neighbourhood is cold with the winter freeze but soon we will experience the death of winter and the birth of spring, but also this morning in Ballinwillin we mourn the death and passing of Joe Mulcahy our neighbour, a legend in the music business and a founding member of the famous Maurice Mulcahy Band. A band that gave huge enjoyment to thousands of people worldwide. This morning our prayers are with his family, friends and neighbours. Now destiny calls Joe to a place of music where his trumpet will sound again for all our spiritual enjoyment, where his heart will always remain generous, all heavenly doors will open to his musical light as you now quietly befriend your death and you have no need to fear. You are among your own orchestra in the big band with your pure white suit you are now equal to your destiny and nearer to Earths heart. Rest in peace Joe. Continue to pray, bless and power healing to all who need it and wear your smile.

The Mindful Farmers Daily Diary Day 1246

Over the coming winter their little acts of love will warm my heart where the kindling their hands picked will not only warm my body but my heart also and their kindness will come into blossom and cause my life to flame in the name of fire, light, love and God.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. Very early this morning my peace was thunderingly shattered. It was a beautiful thing. Our two grandchildren Ada and JJ burst through the door and landed on me like they had dropped from a parachute. Their energy was boundless and their kindness and love came quickly to blossom. Where are we going GrandPat as they call me and what are we doing? So on with their wellies and coats, we collected their two green wheelbarrows and off to the wood to collect kindling to keep GrandPat warm for the winter. It was a beautiful experience and when they are back in Australia I'm sure their minds will think of this day and their work with their little hands will rekindle this special memory while also rekindling my special memory of this day. Over the coming winter their little acts of love will warm my heart where the kindling their hands picked will not only warm my body but my heart also and their kindness will come into blossom and cause my life to flame in the name of fire, light, love and God. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love and wear your Monday smile.

“The best portion of a good person's life are their little, nameless, unremembered and remembered acts of kindness and love." That is how I will remember this great weekend of celebration.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Over the last few days I met many, many people but some really stood out with their kindness, help and warmth and Granduncle Jack's saying came back to life "that the best portion of a good person's life are their little, nameless, unremembered and remembered acts of kindness and love." That is how I will remember this great weekend of celebration. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Sunday best smile.

Given the nature of our own beginning our hearts are always embedded with longing for beauty, meaning, order, creativity, compassion and love. This is the threshold where their new life begins and this is the threshold where their blessings for the future come alive and we wish them every blessing for their voyage ahead.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Well, The Mindful Farmer is slowly recovering after a few days of wedding celebrations and the most important part of these celebrations for the newlyweds is the beginning of their new life together. Given the nature of our own beginning our hearts are always embedded with longing for beauty, meaning, order, creativity, compassion and love. This is the threshold where their new life begins and this is the threshold where their blessings for the future come alive and we wish them every blessing for their voyage ahead. Now, a new world unfolds for Sheena and Fergal where they can dream with the earth, nature, oceans and rivers that float their dreams to bring each other's heart to birth and may love bring them home to each other. Now all our blessings are showering down on them and the universe is moving positively with them.

Good afternoon everyone and welcome. It is the day after the wedding ceremony and celebration and it was a beautiful event and a beautiful day. As one lady said "it was so meaningful." That summed it up perfectly. Days such as these great wedding celebrations are warm hearted, full of glamour, colour, flowers, music and above all goodwill, warm wishes and blessings for the newlyweds but it is people that really set the day alight. Now, a new world unfolds for Sheena and Fergal where they can dream with the earth, nature, oceans and rivers that float their dreams to bring each other's heart to birth and may love bring them home to each other. Now all our blessings are showering down on them and the universe is moving positively with them. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Friday smile.

It is easy to recognise them as kin and their beautiful love and innocence is near, near to our sharing, caring hearts and eyes. Everything to live for is here now, we just have to relax and enjoy it.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. Well, yesterday evening and this morning was very joyous here at Ballinwillin House. The whole family assembled including the two grandchildren Ada and JJ from Australia. We went on a tour of the farm and the gardens both holding one of my hands and I felt so empowered, lucky and happy to have lived for this moment. This day certainly brought a field of brightness and happiness to me and our family. This is a time to feel our hearts free and feel the joy inside bursting forth to awaken the wonder that I am sharing with my two trusting little angels. It is easy to recognise them as kin and their beautiful love and innocence is near, near to our sharing, caring hearts and eyes. Everything to live for is here now, we just have to relax and enjoy it. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Wednesday smile.

When we experience joy we feel illuminated and content and we wish that they would last forever. Those moments do not arrive out of nowhere. They come from actions, choices, decisions, silences, plans, prayers and thoughts. What we are doing is creating these wonderful moments for ourselves in other words we create our own joy.

Good morning everyone and welcome. The people I just met this morning at breakfast were full of joy and it seemed to be infectious and it certainly rubbed off on all around. Be that joyous, inspired person today and you will illuminate all around you and continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Tuesday smile.

This morning as I sampled the day on the grass it drew my imagination and belief reinforcing the fact that faith is too priceless a passion and gift to be sacrificed in order to purchase knowledge.

Good morning everyone and welcome. When I was a child growing up in West Limerick it was always said by the older people, mothers, grandmothers, fathers and grandfathers that the health of the people in a community and parish and nation could be measured by their faith, hope, love and their harmony with nature. This morning as I sampled the day on the grass it drew my imagination and belief reinforcing the fact that faith is too priceless a passion and gift to be sacrificed in order to purchase knowledge. Good afternoon everyone and welcome to a beautiful sunny August Sunday. I really love Sundays especially when the sun is shining and I take time to rest by the wayside when in the fields or in the garden. A leisurely pace accomplishes more than hurried striving. When we rush we forget who we are and whose you are always remembering we are all royalty in God's kingdom. When I look around the farm and admire the mature oak and beech trees some of which are over 300 years old I wonder when they were first planted was the idea to build a flat of mighty wooden ships or for the building industry or for the environment.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. When I look around the farm and admire the mature oak and beech trees some of which are over 300 years old I wonder when they were first planted was the idea to build a flat of mighty wooden ships or for the building industry or for the environment. Whatever the reason I am thinking this morning of what they have contributed to the environment over that period of time. That is why every Autumn we plant more and more trees at Ballinwillin and when I sit here this morning I feel I can touch the hand of the wonderful person or persons that put these beautiful specimens in the ground many, many years ago. This morning I bless the imagination of all souls who have gone before us here and I continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and  I will wear my Saturday smile.

The earth and Mother Nature will always be able to trust the warm intention of the farmers hands opening it, softening it, moulding it into a domain of shelter and nourishment and my work of yesterday and most days left me in a state of calm knowing that as custodian of these precious fields sublime patience will always restore my mind.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Yesterday, in the afternoon, I moved some deer to new pastures and boy were they delighted. Calves dancing and prancing and their Moms are very happy too. Sometimes working on your own on the farm can be lonely but with scenes like these with beautiful animals so happy in their environment then the butterflies and bees enjoying and feeding on wild flowers moved my mind and feeling to one of joy and reminded me that all work is intertwined. We were always taught as children that the force of a blessing can penetrate through and alter the inner configiration of identity. Great change can happen with the incomming force of blessings.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Each morning as I sit in silence and quiet meditation I am always reminded of our Lords request "bring me the sacrifice of your time". We live in an action addicted world and very few of us take time out to sit quietly in Gods presence. For those of us who do so, blessings flow like streams of water, living water and blessings flow. We can all bless and we should do so both in word and in action. We were always taught as children that the force of a blessing can penetrate through and alter the inner configiration of identity. Great change can happen with the incomming force of blessings. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Thursday smile.

Looking back the confidence that nourished my heart growing up as a child always created the spark to alight confidence to move forward and allow the imagination to engage and sometimes with difficulty to a most rewarding threshold.

Good morning everyone and welcome. I very recently met a very fine person who never experienced encouragement until recently. She told me her parents were too busy with their jobs, that this child was left to fend and survive by herself until she encountered a wonderful teacher for six years of her life and she was reluctant to leave secondary school and move on with life. This teacher was the mother of encouragement and will always be dear to her heart. Looking back on my life I was so lucky I got a daily infusion of love and encouragement from my parents and my Dad always said "a person who never made a mistake never made nothing!" I must confess he probably didn't mean for me to make so many. Looking back the confidence that nourished my heart growing up as a child always created the spark to alight confidence to move forward and allow the imagination to engage and sometimes with difficulty to a most rewarding threshold. He is reported to have rebuilt Rome where it is said he found Rome made of brick and left it made of marble. During our lifetime we will not be in a position to wield such power but making a difference doesn't need to be about wealth or power but the idea from brick to marble really impresses me. Then I think to myself for these 31 days of August "How can we make a difference?" We all can in our own unique way.

Good morning everyone and welcome once again to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. The month of August is always a very special month particularly in rural Ireland. Little did we know in West Limerick that it was called after the Roman Emperor Julius Caesar. He was a great and important figure and leader of his time ruling for over 40 years where it is reported that art and literature flourished during his reign. He is reported to have rebuilt Rome where it is said he found Rome made of brick and left it made of marble. During our lifetime we will not be in a position to wield such power but making a difference doesn't need to be about wealth or power but the idea from brick to marble really impresses me. John, my son and I planted them as with many other trees in past years and the reason for doing so is to give back to the environment and nature as we have taken so much from them over the decades. Nature, Mother Nature is a force. Our source of breath enables us and flowers to flourish. It is our reservoir of the future.

Good morning everyone and welcome. Earlier this morning in the orchard area I was admiring some Canadian Redwood trees, "Giant Sequoia" that we planted in the winter of 2021. This type of tree, it is said, can live up to 4000 years and was once reported to be the oldest living thing in the world. I then thought to myself how many generations of Mulcahys will enjoy these trees once I have passed? In my company when planting these trees were my son John, his son JJ and daughter Ada. They were just 4 and 2 years old at the time. John, my son and I planted them as with many other trees in past years and the reason for doing so is to give back to the environment and nature as we have taken so much from them over the decades. Real goodness is always simple and simplicity is so attractive and so profitable that it is strange that so few people are really simple

Good morning everyone and welcome to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. It is amazing the people we meet as we run our bed and breakfast. The atmosphere is always very relaxed and after breakfast there is always a discussion and invariably the question of peace and mindfulness is brought up. Over the weekend we had some very mindful and peaceful guests. One of the guests, a lady who works as a therapist, made the following statement "Patrick, real goodness is always simple and simplicity is so attractive and so profitable that it is strange that so few people are really simple.” Now, there is something to ponder on this wet July Sunday. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Sunday best smile.

Compassion can have many forms. It can be just being with someone in support, waiting patiently, it can be helping them with their various needs. It is not always about giving. It is also to graciously receive from one another but for me compassion is about embracing the vulnerability of the person.

Good morning everyone and welcome. It is a lovely, mild morning here this morning and we had a lovely start to the day here this morning. We have a lovely group staying with us at present from the USA. They are a very peaceful, happy and relaxed group that show huge compassion for each other and others also. Compassion can have many forms. It can be just being with someone in support, waiting patiently, it can be helping them with their various needs. It is not always about giving. It is also to graciously receive from one another but for me compassion is about embracing the vulnerability of the person. We will not have lived in vain if we learn to be unruffled by loss, by gain, by joy or pain. Continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Saturday smile.

Good morning everyone and welcome once more to Ballinwillin House Farm, Gardens and RetrEat centre. There seems to be a lot of suffering out there at present. Friends, relations and acquaintances report much trauma, sickness and suffering. I expect it will always be a part of living and our life. There is also good news out there. There are sunlit glades and when I walk through the fields and the gardens there are amazing old trees and beautiful flowers. There are birds in full song and the butterflies prancing from buddleia to buddleia with all this as tender companions how can I be lonely and without friends in nature and in life so today let's all walk together joyously and when the sun shines accept it gladly and continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Friday smile.

Unexpected fruit always comes from a realised, harsh and needless pruning and our own kindness will enter a new time, when we will be nurtured by friends with loyalty, love, trust and integrity. In the meantime we will continue to pray

Good morning everyone and welcome. The Mindful Farmer is sad this morning. Very sad suffering from a blunt blow of a near relative. This hurt was always waiting to arrive and yet we always really knew what shape it would take leaving a wound that may never close in our lifetime. Such wounds burrow and tunnel inside so deeply that only prayer to God and our watching, caring and knowing ancestors will counsel and heal. Imex[ected fruit always comes from a realised, harsh and needless pruning and our own kindness will enter a new time, when we will be nurtured by friends with loyalty, love, trust and integrity. In the meantime we will continue to pray, bless, power healing, peace, hope and love to all and wear your Thursday smile.
